“This resort is strangely wonderful. I mean that in the best way. It is a fun resort and if you have very young kids you may not leave. The pool is clean and refreshing.The food is cooked fresh for every meal( so sometimes when you order 4 different styles it can take a little while) but western , Indian or Tanzanian was all really tasty. All the pictures on the internet are real. ( apart from Swiss Cottage I couldn’t find that one) Bar is huge , so is the restaurant. Staff are very kind and……

“Had a last minute booking and Didas was at the airport when we arrived despite some flight adjustments. He and the staff are kind and accommodating. The lodging is a little small but sufficient for 1/2 people not intending to be in the room all day. The property is nice but rain will get you as you move about. The restaurant is a great amenity when you get back late/ don't want to go search town for food. Breakfast is complimentary and was good each morning. ”

“This property is comfortable with a great in house restaurant. The room was clean and the closet was a good size for hanging up multiple outfits. The staff were all very polite. The tanzanite store in the lobby has fantastic prices and Moses himself is a gem - extremely kind and helpful. The only issue we had were the extremely incompetent taxi drivers who did not seem to know where they were going. I highly suggest you show the driver the directions on Google Maps BEFORE you depart the hotel……

“I stayed at Kaliwa Lodge for 4 nights and was impressed by the tranquil and peaceful environment. The terrace is a great place to watch the sacred Mountain Kilimanjaro at different times of the day, and be connected to the nature. I brought along my yoga mat to practise on the terrace every morning. Food is great too, they prepared wonderful vegetarian food for me on request everyday. Staff is very nice and treat every guest with their heart. I really enjoyed staying at Kaliwa Lodge. ”

“Kibo Palace Apartments is exceptionally good value if you stay for at least a full week. The apartment was spacious and had everything needed. In a very busy shopping area downtown, close to the market, Khan's barbecue and Five Chutneys vegetarian Indian restaurant, so an excellent though very different experience overall. Cleaning by request, so not intrusive. Basic toiletries and towel.”
