Always the perfect stay

We have stayed in this home multiple times over the last few years and we've loved it everytime. Communication from the management team is fantastic. The home is always impeccable and well stocked with things for morning coffee (which is a must for our group). :) The kitchen is fully functional and has everything you need if your plans involve cooking for hungry college kids (which ours always did). Great space for everyone. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Beautiful House

This house has all of the ammenities and comforts in a quiet established neighborhood. Located in a nice part of town close to everything. Very good experience.

Family Weekend in Abiline

Can’t say enough great things about this home & the property manager. We had a family weekend visiting our ACU student & this property was definitely home away from home. The house is extremely clean, comfortable & plenty of room for our crew of 4-5. We will return! And the location can’t be beat especially when the temps lower bc you can literally walk to the ACU campus.

Great home!!

The house was nice and very clean.. The bed was so comfy and the house is in a nice neighborhood. We felt very safe here! It is also in a great location as far as food , Walmart and Starbucks!!

Love this House!

This is the second time our family has stayed at this house and we absolutely love it! It has so many personal touches and it works perfectly for our family of six. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well-equipped, the AC works well and they have two hot-water heaters! We hope to stay here again on our next visit to Abilene!

Exceptional!

My family recently visited Abilene to attend my daughter’s graduation from ACU. We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in the front door. Ceci is an amazing host. She made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The house is very clean and well stocked. Great location in Abilene! Highly recommend!

Great Location, Inadequate Air Conditioning

This property was in the perfect location for our family staying in Abilene for a workshop for 1 week. The house was clean and had nicely appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Our only disappointment was that the air conditioning on the right side of the house was not adequate. The house has two air conditioning units and it was obvious that one of the outside units was new (servicing the left side of the house and keeping it nice and cool) and the other unit was the original unit (servicing the left side of the house). The left side has the master bedroom, kitchen and large laundry room. There was a large floor fan in the master bedroom that was on when we arrived, so it is apparent that the property manager knew the AC was not adequate for that side of the house. Our stay was in July, so the AC was really important to us. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

The home was lovely, clean, comfortable and exactly as described. We were pleasantly surprised with how well stocked the home was. Our contact was prompt responding to our needs. We had a wonderful time. The location was very convenient to ACU and shopping.

Super Cozy and Plenty of Room

We had a great stay. The communication from the management team was very timely. We didn't have any troubles during our stay that required reaching out, so comms were simple. The house is as pictured -- well appointed. Lots of room in the family area to sit, visit, play cards, or watch TV. The kitchen had every appliance we needed. The house was clean - corners, nooks and crannies look like they were detailed and deep cleaned routinely. A lovely home, in a great area that felt cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Great location and great family home!

This was a great property for our family for the long weekend! The location is great, the layout of the home is great for families, and had all the amenities! Very comfortable home, and we will definitely be back! My only complaint is that the air conditioner in the master bedroom was not working properly. It was very warm. When I reached out to the property manager, I was basically told that there was no solution. There are fans in the rooms, but it just wasn’t enough. Hopefully it gets fixed before we go back.

Right Next to ACU

The House was nice. The Furniture is a bit dated but everything was serviceable. There was no cable TV only streaming available so the VRBO advert should be adjusted to properly reflect that. The A//C is owner controlled but set at a comfortable temperature. The owner uses a rental management company called Evolve and they need to put the proper contact person on the email instructions because they were not correct when they sent email. I guess the biggest take away and this is the VRBO fees are way too high. VRBO should not be listing the properties daily rate when after you pay the fees the daily rate jumps about $100 per day on top of listed daily price. Just not right that daily rate should reflect those costs for better searching and affordability.

The good news and the very bad news.

The good news is that this property seemed to be the perfect thing for our family spending most of a week in Abilene: nicer than our own home, great location, etc. And you would think that the wonderful property manager and responsive, agreeable owner would be enough good news to outweigh the bad, but....the air conditioning broke just before our arrival--nothing in the control of the owners, of course. We were promptly called and given the situation which they were trying to fix, but on a holiday weekend, it was not going to be repaired. So we asked for a refund, and the the owner could not have been nicer about endorsing a total refund of the more than $2000 we were paying for five nights. I have a screen shot of their informing Evolve that they agreed to a total refund. We expected some kind of small fee from Evolve.....but over $800?? The lesson for us is to never book with them again. I hope the lesson for the owner is to lose them as their umbrella company, and I hope others will read this review, and despite seeing at once what a nice place this is and hearing what nice owners it has, run away from the Evolve team! They were polite and seemed efficient, but if the unforeseen happens, it's going to cost you big-time.
