Peaceful and private getaway
Comfortable property with well equipped kitchen and great deck right on the water. Pretty steep drive if you have a small car but ours managed it fine. Only 10 mins from the ferry.

Absolutely stunning
I’ve lived in Tassie for many years and I can honestly say this is the best pet friendly place I’ve encountered. Small fenced yard out the back for my dog. The view is amazing, house incredibly clean with everything you could need. Seems to be a pay it forward thing with past people leaving unused staples. Excellent communication from owner. If staying in summer, the only thing that would concern me is close proximity to neighbouring property where it looks like a well used area with caravans etc. Loved this property very much and would definitely recommend

Seclusion and tranquility
This property is set right on the waters edge and surrounded by trees and scrub (it was delightful watching the wallabies, etc). The house is modern, clean and very functional with quirky/interesting furnishings and decorations (love the maps and Tin Tin comics). The bed was very comfortable and had an amazing view of the water. The kitchen had all the appliances one could need and more - and a machine that makes delicious coffee (operational video supplied). Outside activities are also catered for - a table and chairs on the deck and loads of seating in various places around the property. Communication with the owner (Nick) was easy, he was available by phone and email, very friendly, patient and informative. He ensured we had a load of wood delivered the day we arrived, so we were able to keep the fire place roaring (the house heats up very quickly). A lot of thought has gone into ensuring visitors to this property are comfortable - it was the perfect place to have our 24th anniversary. We hope to be back again soon.

Perfect place and location
We stayed here for 2 nights to explore Bruny Island. We found out this was perfectly located, the cottage was very well appointed and decorated and 2 nights isn't enough on this gorgeous island! We would have loved to have stayed longer and enjoyed some more time at this super cute property.

Remote paradise!
We had an incredibly peaceful stay in this bushland and waterside paradise. Full kitchen has everything needed, the living/lounge is spacious and the large balcony complete with outdoor furniture allows you to soak up the surroundings. Upstairs is a loft style queen bedroom while downstairs bedroom has the two single beds, as well as enough room to also put up the supplied portacot. A small backyard is fenced (for securing small people/animals!), but the front of the house down to the water edge is where we spent our time, even catching a few fish! The spot is 10mins from the ferry but further to other sites on Bruny Island. We thoroughly enjoyed our retreat and would absolutely return!

Mini break
Absolutely fantastic location. Will stay longer next time and bring kayaks. Nick was an informative host who let us in on the islands beautiful hidden gems. Retro decor was so comfortable. Pantry was also well stocked and we left all our unopened food for next visitors as this seems to be the pay it forward way that works a treat. Pet friendly and a safe little yard topped off our mini break nicely :)

Perfect spot for a getaway!
We had a short but sweet stay at Apollo Bay with our 6 month old and dog! Our dog enjoyed being so close to the water (as did we!). The area is so tranquil, perfect place for a quite weekend away on Bruny! We will definitely keep in mind for our next visit to Bruny.

Spectacular location
I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s right on the water, with views from most windows. It’s a modern Tassie “shack” with all modern conveniences, such as super comfortable beds, high quality appliances, beautiful interior design. We sat on the deck eating local oysters while watching the sun set. It’s conveniently located 10-mins from the ferry. Make sure you bring supplies as it’s 30-mins to closest shop. I can’t wait to come back here. Thank you for having us!
