“Lovely property, well positioned for visiting places nearby. Parking on site was spacious and well maintained. Pub next door was great and the food good. Communication with the owners was excellent and responses were very quick and helpful. The room (no. 14) was spotless and smelled wonderful as did the whole property! We visited during a heatwave and the room was very hot. There was a small fan provided which helped but opening the window was difficult due to the large counter surface in……

“Very handy hotel as a base for the attractions of the western coast of the Lake District. Set in lovely gardens and very quiet but just off the main road between Newbury Bridge and Barrow”

“Parking space is not enough. We’re lucky that the council parking in the opposite side of the street is free on Saturday night, so we can get a space. Table top, shelf and hook for hanging clothes or bag in the guest room is not enough too. Staffs are so nice and helpful, but the hygiene of restaurants tables and chairs need improvement. ”

“Hotel is in good location. Close to rail station and verious bus stop, restaurants etc. I arrived early and my room was ready so that was great 👍 and I was really happy about it. The problem is that building is closed during the day and no one around to help if something goes wrong. When I arrived to the hotel on my second night I find out that my bathroom light is not working. Manager has sent 2 staff members but they couldn't help so I didn't have light there at all. Room was very clean……

“The hotel building is beautiful and nice planed. Easy access from train station, less than 5 mins by walking. There's a super maket just right beside it. We had a good stay with it, it's a good hotel to consider when you visit the area.”

“On arrival was told restaurant was closed due to a private function. A telephone call would have been appreciated so we could sort out our meals. Also listed as a hotel and was actually a very loud pub.”

“The host cancelled my booking the day before I was due to book in because I use a walking stick and the room was on the middle floor. When I made the booking there was no mention on the booking page about about difficulties I may have. The reason given was not enough room on the expedia page. I was also refused a refund, which I find very disappointing as it was the host who cancelled my booking, not myself. Very disappointed allround.”

“I was given a double room instead of a suite, they couldn’t give me the correct room due to it being full and couldn’t refund me due to not having access to the correct system. The coffee machine didn’t work and they only gave a small amount of milk which only lasted one day.”

“Very good communication. In general the apartment building is clean and nice, though inside the apartment smelled strong curry ( Penthouse ), even a cheap air freshener will make a difference. Pillow cases and Bed blankets do not smell fresh. No shampoo and shower gel. Netflix is a plus. We still enjoyed our stay.”
