"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Other than a few minor things that could be improved like having clothing hooks in the bathroom and Kleenex available, everything else was great. As former Sunset district residents back for a visit, we didn't want to stay in downtown. The Richmond was a good choice with so many restaurants and markets to choose from. It felt like our old neighborhood. The room was newly remodeled and very clean and comfortable. The best part of the stay were the staff, who were very friendly and accommodating. They checked on us everyday, asking how we were doing and if we needed anything. It was nice seeing them take pride in their business. One morning I watched them blowing up balloons and laughing in the office as they prepared Halloween decorations. When people enjoy what they do and take pride in their work, they share that with their guests. That's what I saw. We'll be back."

"This was my second time staying here. This is a classic old-school hotel, steeped in San Francisco history. Walls have lovely historical photos; it’s a real lesson in the area!! There is a small breakfast served that gets the job done. Happy hour wine really rounds out the warm amenities. The location, across from Golden Gate Park, cannot be beat."

"Perfect for my wife and me. Beautiful, nicely appointed, and very comfortable place from the interior to the small deck and backyard. We had bicycles, which we were able to store in the garage (although it’s a seriously steep climb on bike from Golden Gate Park).Regarding parking, it is a bit of a challenge to find a spot on the block, but we always relatively easily found one within a block or two (and did find a spot in front of the building) more than once."
