"More small house than cabin "

"We had a nice start, breakfast was good - other than they ran out of biscuits and gravy. "

"The front desk staff was kind and helpful. The hotel was right next to an iHop and close to a Chili’s. It’s a convenient stay in town. Our bed was pretty hard though. "

"A supermarket and liquor store were just a couple miles away. The room was clean. The hot water in the shower was non-existent. We talked to a clerk in the morning and he said it does take some time for the water to get hot. A sign in the room would have been nice."

"The cabin was in great shape. The seating was just right; especially the reading area. The king bed provided a restful sleep. We spent time on the deck watching the hummingbirds and the occasional parade of wild turkeys through the meadow. We also took advantage of the nearby rainbow trail for hiking. Our stay was exactly what we had hoped it would be. Looking forward to a return visit."

"Surrounding Great Sand Dunes was very convenient. The hummingbird feeders near our room, was one of the highlights as there were many birds so close to us, as we looked over the sand dune backdrop. Hostess at front desk filled the feeders up as soon as we told her they are running out of feeder food. The restaurant just down the hill was excellent, with great staff and great food. We had a great time staying at the Great Sand Dune Lodge."
