“The property is great. The amenities are quality- nothing is cheap… kitchen is stocked & utensils are not flimsy- bedding is nice. Some good touches like under mount lighting in the bathroom that comes on as you walk in- the temperature is easy to keep constant (which is rare in units) it’s very walkable and the parking is easy ($60 per night). “Loved staying at the blind tiger. Very centrally located and absolutely gorgeous throughout. So many thoughtful extras. The bed was super comfortable with lovely sheets and linens. Staff was super friendly. The text system works perfectly so communication is easy but you feel like you staying in a lovely home instead of a hotel. Can’t wait to return”

“Apparently it was an old newspaper, so that’s the theme of the hotel. The restaurant bar and hotel bar are lovely. There’s lots to do and see within a short walking distance. The staff, especially Tim Caban, Assistant Guest Services Manager, is excellent-top notch! He’s very professional, yet kind and caring. “Clean! Walking distance to everything in Old Port area. Shuttle service to and from airport was wonderful! Great Hotel.”

“Mark the driver and Crystal went above and beyond to help us during our 4 day stay. Chris, the weekday bartender, was engaging without being too chatty and gave us a personally recommended guide to Portland sites and restaurants that was spot on every time. The scent in the lobby was overpowering. My husband liked it. I found it offensive.”

“The hotel is pretty nice, but seems dated and geared towards older clientele. The staff were fine but seem very new and slow movers. No one was rude and everyone was fine if you spoke to them but they don't go out of their way or have any sense of urgency. The city surrounding the hotel is unfortunately experiencing high level of unhoused folks and public drug/meth use. It's very sad but be diligent if walking around especially in the Monument Square area. The food scene however is top notch!”
