"Came out to West Texas for a long weekend and this was exactly what we were looking for! The cabin is incredible, it's truly impressive that Jim built everything himself! You get your middle-of-nowhere feel while still being close to the park: 30 minutes to the entrance, another 30 after that to the popular trails. You are also close to Terlingua where they have supplies and restaurants if you need that. But we really enjoyed cooking our own food at the cabin - Jim has everything you could need to make dinner by a campfire, morning eggs, you name it. We also loved the peace & quiet, and the unmatched stargazing we had at night. Jim is also an incredibly nice man, and will fix things on the spot if anything is even remotely out of place. Not to mention his competitive pricing. If we can find our way to Big Bend again, we will probably stay here!"

"The RV was clean and comfortable with all necessary items(bath,kitchen,linens) provided. There is a large refrigerator, so you can bring your own food (recommended, as it’s 32 miles to the nearest store or restaurant).The steps up into the RV could be an issue for a person with mobility problems as they are steep. Very comfortable bed. This IS an RV, so bathroom odor is noticeable; it's a good idea to bring your own fragrances to combat the smell. The property this is on is fantastic, exactly what we went to Big Bend for. It is isolated enough for a camping experience but easy enough to travel for other activities. We enjoyed bird watching from the covered porch, as well as a regular parade of foxes, deer, javelinas, and quail ( apologies if I missed anyone 😉.) The stars at night are unbelievable, we went on the dark of the moon. There is good water, use it sparingly as this is the desert. The hosts are wonderful people, they encouraged us to treat this as our home. We very much enjoyed sitting on the porch and hearing stories of the area. Ask the host before visiting about excursions they provide, we missed the opportunity but plan to next time."

"This cabin is beautiful with clean and comfortable rooms that had everything we needed. The cabin’s setting is amazing with gorgeous views in all directions. We greatly enjoyed star gazing in the yard. I loved the walking path around the property, it has lovely landscaping and even solar lights. Communication with Big Bend Rentals was excellent. Detailed instructions and driving directions (including step-by-step directions with pictures) were provided. We greatly enjoyed our stay while visiting Big Bend National Park. "

"The kitchen was fully equipped & there was an outdoor grill. The rooms & bathroom were clean, plenty of towels available. The pillows and mattress were actually quality and comfortable. I believe they were temperpedic & SUPER comfortable. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!"
