Spring Break in the Highlands of NC
We had an incredible vacation and loved staying at this beautiful home. The setting is private and the back deck is perfect for relaxing and listening to nature. The yard has a slight slant but is not a hill. It was perfect for walking. The fire pit is easy to access. The house has two large bathrooms and bedrooms with a third bedroom on the opposite end of the home. The kitchen has everything you need to have a meal at home. The owner take great care of their guests and are available to answer questions. They are very kind and pay attention to details. As we were leaving, new pine straw was being added to the landscaping. We will certainly return to this beautiful home and plan to stay longer next time. Thank you for a relaxing Spring Break! Angie and Shields Templeton

Although the house was not far from the road it felt secluded and quiet and was a perfect size for the 5 of us. The home has a cute screened in porch overlooking the back yard but it was chilly outside so we didn’t utilize it. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped with all necessary items and bar ware. Other than the chandelier over the dining table that had a few cobwebs, the house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would certainly stay again!

We enjoyed our 5th stay at this very accommodating home nestled in the mountains, but only a few miles drive to the wonderful shoppes in downtown Highlands. The many waterfalls never disappoint us with great hiking trails nearby. Ginger & George, FL

Another perfect trip to Highlands/Cashiers
Our cabin was wonderfully situated to witness the peak leaf turning in Highlands, and all the native rhododendron make it feel like you’re completely secluded. The cabin was well stocked with all of the essentials, and everything was clean and cozy. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for an option that is located conveniently to both Highlands and Cashiers. Our family of 3 + two sets of grandparents thoroughly enjoyed our week here, and we will definitely add this to our list of places to stay on our next visit to H/C.

A Great Place for a Get Away in Highlands
Property was all that is was described and shown in the pictures. About 8 minutes to downtown Highlands. Well furnished and laid out. Screen porch was very night and the property very well kept. Check in was easy and Ali Mae was very helpful and communicative. We will definitely keep this property on our list for future visits in the area.

Nice getaway
Nice location, very convenient. It was a bit too cold to enjoy the screened-in porch, but beautiful woodsy surroundings. Watch out for the blind curve when you turn left onto the street coming from town. A bit of a steep hill to get down to the house too. But you are in the mountains!

Good area close to downtown
Overall, very enjoyable stay, quiet and clean. Nice home and close to the highlands. The outside fire pit was good but the septic tank smell was unexpected. We couldn’t stay out at the fire pit due to the smell being so bad. It would have been nice to have a wood burning fireplace as well.

Great Stay
Home was quiet and quaint. Loved the large screened in patio. Great location to Main Street and Cashiers. Gave a 4 star for the bbq grill not being operable and having to cook inside which set off the smoke detectors each time we cooked a steak or burger. I let the owners know and they said they were aware. If you're aware, why not fix it for your guests. Also patio screen area was covered in cob webs. Other than that, would definately recommend and visit again.

Cozy house in the mountains
Cozy house with everything we needed. It’s secluded, but a short drive (10 minutes) to downtown Highlands for shopping and eating. The back screened porch would be great in warmer weather (it was 15-30 degrees for our stay). Table and chairs to enjoy dinner on the porch and chairs to sit and enjoy nature. There was also a fire pit in the backyard. The property manager was quick to respond to questions. Definitely keeping this one on the list for a future mountain visit.

Our Favorite Place
We have stayed at this home on several occasions. It's one of the first homes we look to rent whenever we find ourselves headed to the mountains. It's in a great location and is conveniently situated between Highlands and Cashiers. The home is big enough for our family to spread out and not be on top of each other. We love it and highly recommend it!

Perfect spot for a Highlands visit
We were visiting the area to attend a wedding. The location was great for us. It wasn’t far from the main downtown area or the location of the wedding. The house was lovely. A great size for our traveling group. We had four adults a teenager and a mini golden doodle. Everyone had plenty of space to relax and unwind when we were at the house. The house is very warmly decorated, very cozy feeling. The kitchen is well equipped without being cluttered. As frequent vacationers, that is something we appreciate. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were nicely appointed. The back porch was amazing. I wish we had more time to relax there. The only negative that we encountered was when we arrived, it was very late and very dark, and we had a hard time locating the house from the street as no lights were left on. But once we figured out which driveway to take it was a great spot. The Wi-Fi and satellite TV service worked great for us. We didn’t get great cell phone coverage at the house itself, but the Wi-Fi works great. The few neighbors we met were very friendly! We even got to meet the super friendly pup Charlie! Would highly recommend this home for anyone traveling to the Highlands or Cashiers area.

Good stay some disappointments
Requested info from agent weeks prior to our arrival that we never received any response to. As a result we had to make an unexpected grocery run upon arrival. The gas grill was inoperable due to broken igniter and heavy mold inside the grill. The shower curtain liner in the guest bathroom has mold bacteria and should be replaced. As a result we operated out of the master bedroom bath.

Keeper on our list!
Everything you need for a comfortable landing place! Easy access to yard for pups, great firepit for cozy night chats and watching for falling stars, plus a personal hiking trail right behind the house (fiberoptic utility access trail). Always a treat when the kitchen is supplied with fine silverware and dinnerware, and TV connections that don't require you bringing an IT person along on your getaway. The Host has even thought of your safety and convenience by adding outdoor lighting on a timer around exterior of yard and porch. We have stayed at many rentals, but this is PERFECT with all the extra touches added to make your stay a wonderful experience. It's definitely a KEEPER for when we travel to this area.
