Delightful 4 bed house in beautiful woodland setting & private pool (sleeps 8+1)

Delightful rural house set in a magnificent umbrella pine wood by the historic village of Hinojos on the edge of the Donana National Park. 35 mins from the vibrant flamenco city of Seville and miles of golden sandy beaches. This perfect rural get-away-from-it-all retreat house is ideal for relaxing, swimming in the child-friendly pool, sunbathing and enjoying a barbecue with friends. The peaceful house has air-conditioning, fans, 4 double bedrooms (1 en-suite) and a double sofa bed, fully-fitted kitchen, large lounge with open log fire and ample off-road parking. The private and secure 1000m2 garden is complete with orange and lemon trees, children’s play area & sand pit. There are bars and restaurants within a 20 minute walk and the centre of the village and supermarkets are a 5 min drive. The area is central to all the major birding sites in the Donana region and the rare Spanish Imperial Eagle and Iberian Lynx have been seen close to the house. This is a fabulous get-away-from it house which is very well located to many wonderful locations.

Easter break
Great few days staying in Hinojos. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The location worked well for us. We had a hire car and it was easy to get to the beach, Donana national park or pop into Seville for the afternoon. The kids loved the pool, and making fresh juice and lemonade from the fruit in the garden. Communication with the host was excellent.

Excellent for access to Doñana National Park
Spacious, clean property with lots of outside sitting areas to follow (or avoid) the sun. Lovely swimming pool. A great place for wildlife - in the garden and in the surrounding areas. Doñana reserve centres all within 30km.

Excellent position for visiting both Seville and the Donana National Psrk
The villa is excellent for families and with a little TLC could be even better. The house needs a thorough spring clean and although we know this was a Christmas break, the outside seating and yard were very grubby and unusable until we cleaned them on Christmas morning. The table tops and seats in the lounge are particularly grubby . This is not really acceptable considering the price we paid per night. The villa is well equipped and very handy for visiting both Seville and the Donana National Park. The iron frame single beds squeak whenever you move and we notice that this has been mentioned by previous clients, but not attended to. The four of us had a really good time touring the area, if somewhat spoiled by the low maintenance of the villa. Subject to improvement in the above mentioned areas we can recommend this villa as a base for touring.

A Great Place!!
If you are looking for the Hilton this is not it, but having said that we absolutely loved this place. It has the feel of a treasured family cottage.... homey and cozy.The kitchen was extremely well equipped, everything worked the way it was supposed to and the beds were comfortable, even the one that squeaked a bit in one of the middle bedrooms. The bathrooms had been renovated and were lovely. And the outside was just marvellous. There was a wonderful pool, numerous fruit trees and many places to sit or lounge about. After a day trip, it was a joy to return to this haven, jump in the pool and have a glass of wine either in the sunshine or under the large tree by the front door. We had all of our meals outside and would sit and chat until dark. Perhaps the biggest asset of this home is the owner and managers. Reuben, Gaby and Hans were all wonderful and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time! Thanks to you all! We were sad to leave this place today and would go back in a heartbeat!

60th birthday celebrations in Hinojos!
We spent 3 wonderful weeks in Hinojos celebrating my 60th birthday. The villa was the perfect place for us to be able to spend quality time with our family. We stayed for the whole 3 weeks and our children and their families joined us at different points. The pool was a big hit with all ages! Although the 3 twin bedrooms are quite small our adult children felt they were big enough!! They each have a good sized wardrobe. The ensuite double bedroom was very comfortable. The air conditioning in that room is very efficient. The two bathrooms have been recently updated and the kitchen is very well equipped. The 2nd fridge was extremely welcome for cooling drinks! We loved the neighbourhood. We drove down with our dog and we were able to walk here in the forest every morning. We discovered a beautiful dog friendly beach near to Matascalanas. Take the road to Mazagon and go left at the first roundabout to park at parque Dunar. Fantastic food at the beach cafe! We loved Seville and enjoyed several visits there. Our kids all seemed to love the bar on the edge of the forest. You just cross the main road to reach it. Gaby was there to greet us when we arrived with lots of local information. We enjoyed our regular visits from Hans, ensuring that the pool was in perfect condition for us. Communication with Reuben was great from start to finish! He was very quick to respond to all of our questions. It was an amazing holiday in a wonderful location. Perfect weather the whole time!! The only difficult part was leaving!!

Lovely week in quiet area, with easy access to seville and the beach.
Family of 7 including two under 3's, had a nice relaxing break near the traditional village of Hinojos. The villa is well stocked in the kitchen and bathroom areas, the bedrooms are more suited to children sharing than adults due to space. The gardens and pool area are a lovely sun trap but require TLC (the gardner and pool cleaner were away when we occupied the villa) several of the local restaurants were closed due to their vaciation the week we were there (4th to the 11th september) the mercadonna in pilas was excellent, around a ten minute drive and the cafe next door to the shop were very friendly! locals in general are very friendly and accomodating. the outside bbq area was the place to be from 6pm onwards for a G and T with the portable bbq. Our 3 year old loved the swing and playhouse as well as the provided inflatables for the pool. Lovely relaxing week and cant wait to return to seville for a weekend break! Thank you to Rueben for his excellent communication before and during our stay, also the villa has plenty of information and useful tips also car hire is essential

Beautiful area and well equipped villa.
We had a very enjoyable week in Casa Donana. The villa is very clean and well equipped - Reuben is keen to listen to feedback and is always making improvements and so we found everything to be well-organised: lots of crockery, lovely bathrooms, shelter for the car etc. There are a many things to do in the area and there are only a few English tourists which we enjoyed. The beaches are lovely and quite empty if you go along from the main urbanisation and the sea was warm. Seville was easy to get to on the metro and we were impressed by what a beautiful, clean city it is. The pine woods close to the villa and spreading across the national park are very attractive.

Spacious and peaceful property but outside area in need of more care
Overall we enjoyed our stay - it’s an authentic Spanish house in a great location for exploring Andalusia and even for popping over to Portugal. The inside seemed clean enough on arrival, with an updated kitchen and nice bathrooms, but it would benefit from a deep clean - lots of the kitchen utensils and crockery were dirty. The outside area was very disappointing on arrival - the patio’s were not swept and we actually had to clean up dog poop, the garden furniture shabby and full of dust and bird droppings, the BBQ had not been cleaned after it’s last use (so my husband cleaned it all, but I’m afraid we left it the way we found it) and the pool was unusably dirty - which I had to request to be attended to. The property owner and the housekeeper were, however, very responsive and pleasant to deal with and the pool was attended to immediately. It was not the way to start a holiday, though. This could be a great property if it was looked after better.

Great location. Charming rustic villa with pretty garden.
We stayed for the whole month of May in this charming rustic villa with pretty garden and pool. Our family joined us so we were 2 then 6 and finally 8 people. The villa was spacious and clean. The area was lovely. Seville within an hour's drive, the beaches the same. The local village was within walking distance and had several supermarkets and nice restaurants. Reuben and Gaby answered our queries very promptly.

Great relaxing stay, beautiful pool to enjoy all day and night! We stayed here for 3 weeks. Weather was perfect🌞! There were up seven of us in the house and only two of us at times, plenty of room close to Sevilla and not far from the beaches, plenty to do if you choose, there are many restaurants in Almonte , grocery store and great pizza In Pilas (Gabys pizza) and a couple good restaurants in Hinojos, "la choza" We had plenty of days to just relax! Gaby and Doris are close by if you need anything! We will definitely plan on going back.

Really lovely place to stay, great for family with children.
Really nice place to stay. We had two families staying, one family with three children and one family with two children. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool was great and the villa had everything we needed. Plus a bonus of airconditioning. A five minute drive to the local shop or a 10 minute drive to a larger supermarket. We enjoyed walks around the local town and drove into seville for a day at the theme park. A great information pack at the villa full of things to go and do. The children actually just wanted to stay at the villa and go in the pool!! We stayed middle of May and the weather was between late twenties and early thirties, nice and hot! The area is lovely and quiet, a great place to relax.

A good house in a good place!
Casa Donana suited us very well for our stay of three weeks in April-May 2017. The kitchen & bathrooms worked well and the beds were comfortable. We used the pool once only but the pool itself and the area around it were very well-maintained by Doris and always looked very good. The Lantana/Plumbago/Bougainvillia hedge was a very attractive feature to look out on when sitting on the shady porch. The garden area behind the house is quite wild in character; we liked this, especially as it meant we had breeding Sardinian Warblers present. I am a very keen birdwatcher and the proximity of the house to Donana was an important factor for me in the choice of the property. Many of the best birding sites are within easy reach of the house and it is far enough away from the marshes not to be troubled by mosquitoes, so the position is close to perfect. The neighbourhood was very quiet and peaceful during our stay, with houses nearby unoccupied for much of the time. We hope to return in March 2018, deliberately coming at a different time of year to get a different birdwatching experience. The fact that we have already decided to return speaks volumes about how much we enjoyed our stay. The roads in the urbanizacion had all been turned into potholed dirt-tracks prior to our arrival, with major works being carried out. This could be a concern to some people but detracted little from our experience. Work was in progress throughout our stay and I expect the roads will be properly re-surfaced quite soon. In summary, if you want a quiet, calm place to stay that is near to the Donana birding area, then this is a fine choice.

A great holiday
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday and had a great time. The house is good and the swimming pool amazing. We were a party of 4 adults 3 children aged 2/3/4 so the house was a good size to fit us all in. It was great that there were also toys available for the children the play house and tree swing went down a storm and of course not forgetting the pool! The house caretaker and pool cleaner/ gardener were amazing and really helpful providing valuable information to the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the village of Hinojos is really lovely.

Très agréable séjour en famille (2 adultes + 2 grands ados) d’une semaine début mai. Maison conforme aux descriptions, propre et très bien équipée. Les linges de lits et de ménage sont un véritable plus. Lieu très calme, facile d’accès. Idéal pour visiter la région. Commerces et petits restaurants à proximité. Propriétaire attentif, et procédures d’accueil de la personne sur place rapide et efficace. La piscine et la terrasse inspirent à la relaxation.

Wir waren zu 8 in dem Haus als Freundesgruppe und es war ein super schöner Urlaub. Der Pool ist super schön, man hat rund um die Uhr sowohl Sonne als auch Schatten. Nicole und Franz sind unfassbar lieb& hilfsbereit, das ist absolut nicht selbstverständlich. Das einzige Manko ist, wenn man ohne Auto dort hin kommt, weil alles recht weit weg ist (Supermarkt, Strand etc.) Alles in allem toller Urlaub und schönes Haus.

Pour commencer un très bon échange avec le propriétaire Ruben avant notre arrivée. Un super accueil avec Nicole et très disponible. La maison est superbe , et très bien équipée. Der Pool ist kleiner als auf den Bildern zu sehen. Aber das ist nicht so schlimm.schlimm ist dass das Haus mit Kakerlacken, Gekos und Ratten infiziert ist die sogar Tagsüber in den Zimmern, Wohnzimmer und Küche ( trotz peinliche Sauberkeit von uns ) sich gerne aufhalten. Obwohl ich mich schriftlich bei Fewo beschwert habe, haben wir keine Stellungnahme bekommen! Leider nicht zu empfehlen
