The hut is located on a large natural plot approx. 300 meters from Lake Trabocher. The cozy towns of Traboch, St. Peter-Freienstein and Trofaiach are located in the "Erzberg Leoben" region in the middle of the state of Styria and are an ideal holiday destination for those seeking relaxation and families. The mountain world of the Eisenerzer Alps with the largest open-cast iron ore mine in Central Europe also offers impressive insights into the mining historical past and a wealth of possibilities in the midst of tremendous natural scenery. Nearby is the "Wilde Berg Mautern - Wildlife Park" and the "Gesäuse - Wild Water and Steep Rock" National Park is easily accessible by car via the Präbichl and is a great starting point for wonderful mountain tours and hikes.
