This property is in a pretty location & is furnished beautifully & comfortably. It was equiped with everything we needed. The host was friendly & gave us good information about the area. I highly recommend this property & hope to return again.

Eclipse viewing trip
Our host was wonderful. He met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the carriage house as well as of his property. He brought us eclipse glasses. He recommended excellent places to eat. The carriage house was lovely and very convenient for us. And it was only about a five minute walk from his backyard to the Guadalupe riverbank and adjacent open field dog park. Overall, everything was delightful.

Charming Carriage House
Enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House. The owners were precious and we loved visiting with them. They were extremely accommodating and the house was so cute with its unique touches. We also enjoyed the nice little walk down to the river. We definitely plan to stay again when back in the area!

Such a beautiful home!
Our visit was short and a busy one that we didn’t even get a chance to meet Mr. Ray the host. but he was very responsive to our check-in details to make sure we didn’t get lost or if we had any questions or concerns about our stay. but we sure loved the guest house!! it was so private and spacious for us to stay at! We loved everything about it and specially how close it is to town! We sure will come back to stay another time if it’s available on next visit to kerrville!

Excellent. A fun and relaxing experience.
We wanted to explore the Texas Hill Country, and the barn house turned out to be the perfect location to work from. Thank you Ray! The house just immediately felt like home; although, I'm not sure our real home is quite as nice or interesting. The unique house is tastefully decorated, well-furnished, patio space everywhere, personal touches galore, comfortable arrangements, private, secure, easy access, great hosts, serene views..... This is the place to be for visiting the Hill Country and Kerrville. Great experience. Highly recommend.

We were impressed with the beautiful furnishings and decor in the house. The comfy outdoor areas allowed us to enjoy the beauty of the hill country and we got to see deer running across the field. The property is private with a security gate and we felt very safe and at home. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This place is a hidden gem! Upon arrival we were very impressed with the iron gate. Knowing that not just anyone could get in was reassuring. The house is beautifully decorated and had a very cozy feel to it. Loved the wooden beamed ceilings, the patio area, and the large roomy kitchen. We highly recommend!

This property WAS truly charming and loved the outdoor spaces and the proximity to the river. The outside entrance to the half bath was a bit inconvenient at times, especially the evening of the rain storm. Ray is an excellent host and everything was well organized for check-in and departure.

THE PERFECT GETAWAY
The Carriage House was the perfect getaway for my hubby and I. Spacious, with an interesting collection of antiques, and very comfortable with all the amenities provided for a relaxing stay. The hosts are absolutely delightful, and have provided travelers a fabulous location in which to unwind, and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Take a short walk down to the riverbank and sit awhile! You'll want to return to this location again, and again.

A touch of France in the Texas Hill Country
We chose this VRBO for a quick anniversay trip for several reasons - we are postponing a trip to France due to Covid, and found the Carriage House the perfect substitute close to home! If I hadn't known I was in Kerrville I would have believed I was in France. The entire visit exceeded our expecations for a VRBO in every way - the house itself was not only beautifully decorated, but comfortable in every way. River views and easy access to walking along the Guadalupe added a perfect outdoor touch - along with all the several spaces to have morning coffee, late evening fire chats and al fresco dining. Ray and Carolyn are enjoyable and considerate hosts, full of warm Texas hospitality. We're returning, without doubt!

Hill Country Get Away
I live in the heart of a big city, Dallas, so we were looking for a a relaxing country feel & the Carriage House didn't disappoint. There were views of the Guadeloupe river from the back terrace & an easy walk down the hill. This was a great location for touring the Hill Country. Host Ray & Carolyn are friendly & very accommodating.

Great Home Base for our Hill Country Week
Our family really enjoyed the Carriage House. Ray and Carolyn stopped in to introduce themselves the very first evening and were so kind and helpful during our stay. We took advantage of the short walk to the Guadalupe River and enjoyed a number of walks along the trail. So much great patio seating along the back of the house - would definitely be a favorite spot as the flowers and foliage return in spring & summer. (Our trip was early March and after the February Freeze that turned everything brown.) The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked. They have a Keurig and a regular coffee pot for your beverage needs. We had dinner at Grape Juice one night and would recommend it as a nice local wine & dine option. Overall, a wonderful place to stay if you want Kerrville area as your "home base" during your stay.

A Real Retreat
This is a spacious and tastefully decorated, comfortable stay. A lovely combination of rustic charm with all the perks. A lovely view out the back and a well appointed back porch with seating and a grill to enjoy it. We hope to return soon. Carolyn and Ray are very gracious and considerate hosts.

I am so pleased to have found this beautiful property in Kerrville. I now know exactly where I’ll be staying whenever I visit Kerrville to spend time with my mother, who lives there. The house is absolutely wonderful - a lovingly decorated hill country gem with everything you could possibly need for a short or long stay. The antique furniture and accessories are a big bonus, making this a five star hill country chic experience. During our all-too-short stay it was hard to force ourselves to leave the property. We just wanted to sit by the fire pit and look at the stars in the evening and to enjoy the river views during the day. I doubt there is anything in the area that comes even close to this property when it comes to beauty, charm or comfort. It’s a great find.

We found the house to have everything we needed. We enjoyed seeing the sunset while grilling. The thing I will remember the most was the nice, quiet walk to the nearby park. I would sray here again if needing a house in Kerrville.

Full amenities in kitchen and bathrooms. Full Laundry room access with supplies. One large master bedroom with cozy king bed and TV. There is 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds. Carriage House is decorated with many antiques but very comfortable. Gated property as well. Ray met us at arrival with explanations for everything. Very accommodating if we needed anything and had many good recommendations for food, entertainment or sites around area. We only had two nights but wished we had more time. Everything was lovely. We would definitely return again for a stay when vacationing in the Kerrville area.

Exquisite piece of hill country heaven
This was our first time to rent thru vrbo and so glad we did! This property was beautifully decorated, comfortable and we loved the opportunity to walk to the river as well. We would definitely recommend this home to stay for a relaxing getaway!
