“ Overall the room was lean and comfortaable, and the front desk clerk allowed me to check in slightly early. This was much appreciated after a very long drive. I did miss having a clock radio in the room, so I can check time if I wake in the night, without having to turn on a light and check watch. Not everyone is sucked into the Smartphone matrix. “The Summit is a 1906 grand hotel with all the trimmings associated with a historic bld. If your thing is hanging around the grand lobby, sitting in front of the fireplace chatting with other guests, this place is for you. The rooms are what you would expect in an historic Inn. The rooms meet the needs, but the lobby, bar and restaurant is the place to hang out and soak up the beautiful architecture. Id return for a longer stay. ”

“This was nice little place to stay on a budget. The fire pit, and kitchen stocked with essentials, were what sold it, and we used both. Later checkout time (12pm) was nice also. This is about 20 min. from Ohiopyle where we were rafting, and about 10 min. from the Confluence Reservoir area. It worked perfectly for us.”

“Chose the Comfort Inn because the B&B we booked was not available on Sunday night. Wish our entire stay had been at the Comfort Inn. It is much nicer than the B&B and more convenient to the GAP trail. We initially chose the B&B because we expected the Comfort Inn to be on a major highway and not convenient to the trail.
