“Well maintained historic hotel. If you enjoy vintage hotels, you'll like this hotel. It has been tastefully updated and the room was clean and comfortable. Reception staff was knowlegeable about the comunity, helpful and courteous. We thought earplugs among the amenities was thoughful, and suspect that 100 year old walls between rooms were not very soundproof, but we did not have adjacent guests so don't know whether the earplugs were necessary. We enjoyed our stay and believe this would be a……

“The Host is excellent. The vibe is excellent. The only drawback honestly was the shower set up. The shower head would spray out the door when opening the sliding door and turning it on to the warm setting. Other than that? I’d say five stars. There was a 1 1/2” mold area forming at the corner of the ceiling above the window at the front of the room. Check at the corner of ceiling to wall above said window. Easy remedy. ”

“The Hollyhock was very cozy and well appointed. We lacked for nothing. Close to everything in Long Beach and just a jump across the Columbia from Astoria. We had an enjoyable stay in a charming beach town. Nate is a gracious host and this cottage is highly recommended if you are going to be in the area.”

“Great place to stay. It was a pleasant surprise. Very quiet, and comfortable. It has a very nice kitchen although we didn't use it, but their are very good restaurants close by. The bathroom could use a larger vanity. The TV had closed caption displayed all the time. Couldn't get rid of it. Brandy couldn't figure it out either. Otherwise she was excellent.”
