The cabin is beautiful and spacious. The back deck is wonderful for listening to the song birds and wild turkey. We also saw lots of deer. The sunsets are absolutely spectacular. The view is amazing. (The road in is a bit narrow.)

Love this house, it always feels like home coming back. This was our first August stay, so we had to deal with hotter days with no AC. But as soon as the sun went down, it was cool again, so great for sleeping. Ceiling fans plus a couple of portable fans kept us comfortable during the day. Beautiful sunsets and great days for just relaxing and reading. Must be the best stocked kitchen anywhere!!

Great stay

Fantastic stay, phenomenal view. Follow the directions of the host and turn around at the drive way after, it has lip to do a turn around. The driveway is steep and the turn into the driveway would be a switchback. Best to arrive during the day to get your bearings. I can’t say how much we enjoyed our getaway, everything was perfect.

Fabulous Christmas Cabin

Tree top mountain heaven

Our cabin was exactly what we saw in the pictures and more! It was super clean, nicely decorated, and very spacious! The view out of the back of the cabin was a million dollar view! We loved the private and safe location tucked back in the Laurel Wolf ski neighborhood. The kitchen was well equipped and the grill was ready for use. We definitely enjoyed the hot tub in the cool evenings as well!

Beautiful mountain getaway

We had a great stay at this spacious, beautiful cabin! Our 2 teenagers each had their own space complete with their own bathrooms. The entertainment space in the basement was great - we played lot of air hockey and board games, and enjoyed watching a movie one night. The hot tub was very relaxing and a great way to enjoy the spectacular view! There is extensive deck space to enjoy the mountain view, which we enjoyed immensely. We cooked on the grill one night, but also went into Mars Hill and Asheville for some meals. Be aware that the drive into the nearby towns takes at least 25 minutes from the house. This was not much of a problem for us, however. We travelled with our Brittany with ease - there were perfect places to walk and hike all around. The kitchen was a highlight for me - very well laid out and enough cookware to prepare a meal for a large family! Thank you for sharing your home with us, Clyde!

Great Stay!

We had a great time here. The place was clean. The owner went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The views from this place are wonderful. My family and I stayed here during Thanksgiving week, and we all enjoyed ourselves. We would highly recommend this cabin to fellow travelers.

Great Retreat

Sparkling clean, beautiful property perfect with separate baths for each bedroom. Our stay during remnants of Hurricane/Storm Ira made travel to the cabin a bit more challenging, but overall an exception location at 4,492'

Lovely Mountain Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay at this property. The Mountain Views from the extensive deck was gorgeous, and we spent most of our time, including meals there. The home and kitchen were well furnished and comfortable and the three bedrooms were all private. The owner provided timely, detailed information through our rental process. We highly recommend this home for up to six people.

Making Memories

I try to take my 76yo Mom on a yearly vacation. Since COVID, we haven’t been able to. This year was so memorable. Clyde was beyond accommodating to us. He allowed us a late checkout due to having weather delayed horseback riding we had purchased. The home was absolutely beautiful and stocked with everything you need as if it were your own home. The communication with Clyde was also just a phone call away. I definitely recommend this property for any family. Don’t wait on it….. Book it NOW.

Spectacular view

Overall this was a wonderful property! The only reason I rated it a lower star was due to the fact we came here in the summer (end of May) and there is no AC which caused for some hot uncomfortable evenings. The temps were in the 80s at times even up in the mountains. In the evening it was mid-high 70s but the house still got to 78 and we all were hot. Luckily we knew about this ahead of time and brought our box fans. Other than that, everything was amazing including the communication with the host. The pictures don’t do this cabin enough justice! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with the amazing view. The layout of the cabin is great and we loved that every room had its own bathroom. The host provided so many things in the house to use from towels to kitchen utensils and appliances. I’ve stayed in many cabins between NC and Tennessee over the years and this has to be one of the best! I even had a package delivered here. Overall great stay and excellent for the price. Thank you Clyde!
