Dear ?, Thank you for taking the time to send in feedback, although, unfortunately, anonymously, so I cannot address you directly. Since the hotel floors have automatic lights, I assume you are talking about the 'pitch dark' staircase outsice. As most houses, this one is also fitted with light switches next to each door on each floor, they are even illuminated red at night, and when you press them the light comes on. I agree it's a nuisance when people leave the lift door open, so the next person has to use the stairs (I hope you closed the door to save others from this trouble). I do of course not know what your expectations are when you book a room with continental breakfast, I do know however that my buffet provides much more than I would have to for 'continental', including many selfmade jams and my own baked bread, many different cheeses and cold cuts, five cereals, fruit and much more. The house is indeed an 'Altbau', many people love it for its charme (same goes for the elevator, it's actually quite unique) and it is not unusual here to have a 'Pension' on the top floors of a normal building. If you had talked to me, I could have explained much of all this to you in person, perhaps we could have resolved some misunderstandings or I could have done anything else to make your stay more worthwile for you. Maybe you take this chance next time! Happy new year nonetheless!

Thank you for taking the time so send in feedback. I would have happily provided you with a 2nd or bigger pillow, had I known that this one is too flat for you, next time please just ask for one. There is only extended continental breakfast, but no hot/English breakfast, that might not be too clear on the booking site. I am not sure what to say about the dolls, as there are no dolls in any of my rooms, so perhaps this is a misunderstanding/autocorrect?!

Liebe Nadine, vielen Dank, dass Sie sich die Zeit für eine Bewertung genommen haben. Es hätte noch einen zweiten Frühstücksraum gegeben, ich wusste leider nicht, dass es Ihnen zu eng war. Wie Sie treffend festgestellt haben, habe ich nicht unbeschränkt Platz und versuche aber, eine so vielfältige Auswahl wie möglich bereit zu halten, daher muss ich da eben ein bisschen enger zusammen stellen. Als Gastgeber hätte mich natürlich interessiert ob Sie meine Auswahl an selbstgemachten Fruchtaufstrichen interessant fanden, ob Ihnen das selbstgebackene Brot geschmeckt hat oder ob Sie vielleicht Nicht-Brot-Esser sind und Sie sich deshalb über die vielen Müslis, Obst und Joghurts gefreut haben. Liebe Susanne, vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung. Es tut mir wirklich leid, dass ich keine Zitrone vorrätig hatte und unwillig war ich nicht wegen der Bitte, sondern wegen des Versuches, mich beiseite zu drängen und in die nicht öffentlichen Bereiche des Hotels einzudringen (Küche/Büro). Es freut mich natürlich, dass Ihnen der Rest des Frühstücks offensichtlich aber dennoch zugesagt hat. Das mit der Etagendusche kann ich gut verstehen, die Standardzimmer hätten eine eigene Dusche und WC gehabt.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am glad you liked the location and the house. I can totally understand that you prefer to have an ensuite bathroom. So for your next stay, I suggest to book a standard room instead of an eco room, as they have the bathrooms inside. Kind regards,
