"Nice place, great location, comfortable rooms and lovely view. I stayed in room 2 and it needs a little improvement in terms of fittings, a new safe and electrical point. "We arrived at Burning Shore for our prebooked - prepaid accomodation over Xmas holidays - only to find it closed and without any notice on the door. When we phoned we were told the hotel was closed for renovations- and that they had not received our booking or payment ( clearly confirmed in hotels.com) - and no rooms were available in an adjacent/ presumably affiliated hotel ( 2 days before Xmas) .
