About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Amazing Whimsical Mtn Cabin! Pet Friendly, Hot Tub, Fireplace, Winery, Skiing

Luxurious & cozy cabin full of whimsical artistic touches & lots of charming outdoor spaces nestled in rhododendrons, with a gorgeous outdoor stone fireplace and new hot tub! To make it even more amazing, it is also located in a resort community (Linville Land Harbor) with dog parks, hiking trails, a lake with a sandy beach and provided kayaks/paddleboats, river for fishing stocked trout, golf course, pool, pickleball courts, tennis courts, arcade and parks for children!

The cabin has just been fully renovated and is stocked with all new, comfortable and beautiful furnishings. In every room and throughout the outdoor spaces, you will see thoughtful touches curated to enhance your experience; fluffy robes for when you get out of the hot tub, high quality cookware, comfy chairs on the back deck to watch birds and enjoy your morning coffee, high quality linens/furniture, cozy ambient lighting everywhere, handmade art, and the list goes on.

There is even a Mac computer with great internet if you need to get some work done while staying.

Need toys, games, art supplies, costumes and books for the children to entertain themselves while you relax? We have you covered! There is a closet full of things for children. We also have 2 nice bicycles at the cabin for you to use for exploring the resort!

Additionally, this cabin is nestled in the PERFECT NC mountain location - quick access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, close to: quintessential mountain towns like Blowing Rock, Boone and Banner Elk, ski slopes, countless fun day trips to adventures such as amazing caverns. wineries, the breathtaking Linville Falls and Linville Gorge, Wiseman’s View, Grandfather Mountain, a mile high swinging bridge, gem mining, antique shopping, and the list goes on and on. There is so much beauty and wonder to experience in these magical mountains - come see for yourself!

Something else we love about this cabin/area is that it's an easy trip to explore Asheville (10 million visitors per year!) and the Biltmore House. So you can have all of the amazing offerings of this area plus be in Asheville in a little over an hour, if you want to expand your adventures.

Please don't be concerned over this being a new listing - you are in good hands! Last year my son and I sold a property outside Asheville that we successfully rented out on this platform and self-managed for 7 years, with over 200 5-star reviews! I sold that property and bought this one after very carefully considering all of the areas and options in these beautiful mountains. I fell in love with this area and over the past 8 months I have lovingly renovated this cabin and worked hard to provide here all the touches guests liked most at my previous property. When looking for a new property, I felt that the combination of an adorable mountain cabin in the middle of fantastic mountain adventure options, that also offered all of the amenities of a resort community, was optimal for providing guests (and me/my son) with a perfect mountain getaway experience. I think you will feel the same once you stay here!

Adorable Cottage in the Mountains
Do not be fooled by the lack of reviews. This property was amazing. My boyfriend and I booked a short week stay and it was not enough. The host was readily available to answer all our questions and communicated where everything was in the cabin, down to the light switches. There is everything you could need. There is parking on property that is easy to access. Great if you are unfamiliar with the mountains in Carolina. The cabin is also close proximity to popular areas like Grandfather mountain, Boone, and Banner elk. We tried out some of the host's recommendations like the Linville Winery and Grandfather mountain, which you cannot miss. If you like golf, you are in luck. There is a course in the community as well as several around the area. We played Sugar mountain public course and the Boone Golf Club, which both have stellar views. Hope to come up in the fall sometime.

Quaint & Magical
This place is as awesome as you would imagine. It is in a little subdivision, but still feels private. Near a beautiful golf course in the mountains. Home was so fun and well cleaned. Outdoor area was great for cards, dinner and a fire. Would definitely stay again, and were sad we couldn't stay longer. *Bring cooking supplies if you plan to cook - there are utensils and pots/pans, etc but you'll want your own staples. Thanks for a great stay!

Pick me. Choose me Cabin!
Pick this cabin. Choose this cabin! All joking aside. This cabin was the most magical, woodland, cozy, cute, clean, sweet and, all of the above! The location was great - “close” within 15-30mins of all the “good stuff” Grandfather mountain, the caverns, gem mining, antique stores, restaurants etc. The commutation was spectacular. The cabin was clean and had everything you needed down to the poop doggie bags and bath robes for the hot tub! We will be staying here again. Already have it booked for September! Y’all. Pick this cabin. Choose this cabin! You won’t regret it.

Anniversary Getaway
We spent the weekend at the property, and it couldn't have been any nicer. We had been to the Blowing Rock and Banner Elk area before, but it was over 15 years ago. It was so nice that instead of going to a restaurant for our anniversary, we grabbed a couple of steaks and made our dinner. We decided to eat both meals at the house. The house was stocked with everything you could need for your stay. Many times I would ask my wife, "I wonder if they have..." and sure enough it was there. The bed was comfortable, and the decor was interesting but very cool and lovely at the same time. It felt like we were not in a neighborhood. The owner checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. We would most definitely stay at this property again.

We really wished we had spent more time there than we did. This place is amazing. It reminds me of the hobbit movies. To be honest, there is not enough good things I can say about this amazing place. The one thing that really did make our stay. The best was the amazing host. She is a wonderful person and just as sweet as can be. I can’t wait for our next trip

One of best birthdays ever!
My wife wrote this about our great time: Once upon a time there was a cozy, charming and enchanting little cottage in Newland and it was a wonderful birthday surprise from my hubby! We arrived there on a misty Saturday evening but woke up to a sunshiny but windy Sunday morning… We decided to explore Beach mountain with our Goldens Lucy and Louie that morning and watched skiers and snowboarders on the slopes later in the afternoon while we enjoyed a delicious lunch at holy smokes, a must stop even if you’re not hungry…the owner was so welcoming and hospitable and the BBQ was delectable… The next day we went to the beautiful St Bernadette’s Catholic Church, it is surrounded by God’s beautiful creation and the view of mountains behind the altar is awe inspiring! Enough to make a sceptic into a believer! The next day was my birthday and we got on the road to explore and stopped at Grandfather mountain, we drove all the way up making stops at overlooks and hiked the swinging bridge trail which was adventurous and unique…a perfect way to spend my birthday we caught a breathtaking sunset from the summit and got dinner at the Bayou and it was mouthwatering… We soaked in the hot tub the next morning and drove to a nearby park, we spent our last evening relaxing and packing as we wanted to head out early to attend mass at St Bernadette’s on our way back home…we stopped at Tartan’s for a scrumptious brunch and the lady at the restaurant was very friendly and nice… A++++++++

Weekend Getaway
Melissa and Cole have found a small slice of heaven and turned it into a magical oasis from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life. The cabin is filled with singular decor, a beautiful atmosphere, and the huge jacuzzi spa was the icing on the cake. Our daughters had so many toys and games to play and books to read! They truly thought of everything! We’ll absolutely be back this summer to enjoy the summer activities available!

Winter Retreat
We had a wonderful time at this charming cottage. This is by far the most well stocked and thoughtful VRBO we have ever stayed in. The owners thought of everything from the dog blankets to how to turn on and off each light and nightlight. These seem like small details but when you are traveling with kids and a pet it's the small nuances that matter so much. Thank you for sharing your home and neighborhood, it was the winter retreat we needed after the holidays!

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. It’s super cute, quaint and very reasonably priced. The owner, Melissa, has very communicative and accomodating. It’s in a neighborhood type community but close to Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk, Hawksnest, Grandfather Mountain and Boone, which we did all in four short days. The hot tub was a major plus each . Would definitely recommend.

I’m not sure if the owner or the cabin was more wonderful! Our family absolutely enjoyed our stay. It was very clean, beautifully decorated, lots of activities for the family to do together, and very close to the slopes. The owner was so accommodating and helpful! Even making sure we had the necessary supplies in a winter storm advisory. Her warm hospitality was appreciated. We look forward to staying here longer the next time we visit.
