"This was a great hotel to stay at as it was very centrally located. The parking situation was a little confusing at first but the staff was extremely helpful and sweet about explaining everything to us foreign travelers ☺️"

Novotel Auckland Airport

Novotel Auckland Airport

10/10 Excellent
"Such a good choice if you arrive late off a flight. Just walk across the road and you are there. Check in is quick and rooms are large and very comfortable. We have never used the restaurant so can't comment on that. The restaurant at the Pullman, just next door is excellent however. We prefer the rooms at the Novotel. A great airport hotel."

8/10 Good
"Well appointed room. Not as clean as I would have liked. Had to request someone come and clean a sticky stain on the floor shortly after arrival. Buffet breakfast as expected. Disappointed to learn that one of the restaurants on site is only open 4 days a week. Couldn't get an on the day booking for the other as there was a large Fulton Hogan conference. Otherwise lovely hotel, great staff."

Auckland City Hotel

Auckland City Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Central city hotel that was easy to find, our room was spacious and clean with wet room bathroom so no need to climb into a bath to have a shower. Some road noise but rooms are back from Hobson St so not too bad (double glazing would help) There's limited onsite parking and as there was work being done on the front of the Hotel the contractors seem to take most of the parks. Hopefully once completed that will free up. Easy to walk to central Queens St etc (10min) and we found lots of restaurants at K Road (20 min) We will remember to stay again as Hotel is reasonably priced and ticks all the boxes. We didn't try the breakfast offering."

North Shore Hotel Guide

Travelers don't have many options when it comes to accommodation offerings in the heart of North Shore, but there is a number of hotels just outside of town. There are at least 2 hotels within a 6-mile radius.

You might want to look up the Kitenga Luxury Bed & Breakfast. You'll find it within an easy drive of the downtown area.

With 9 accommodation offerings to spend your nights, East Auckland is one of the premier neighborhoods to set up camp. You’ll find it 5 miles from the center of the city. Some of the first places on your list here should be the Point View House and Bucklands Beach Waterfront Motel.

The Auckland Northshore Motels & Holiday Park is one of a limited number of truly budget choices here.

If you still haven't found what you're looking for, you might want to look into the Delamore Lodge as well as the Breakfast on the Beach, which are 12 miles and 11 miles from the heart of North Shore. Jetsetters looking for something more can check out the Seafields and the Enclosure Bay, 7 miles and 12 miles away.

Attractions and Hotels Near North Shore

You won't have too far to drive for your next adventure. The rest of Auckland Region is at your doorstep! Stopping in at Auckland Region's beaches, coastal plains and forests should be enough to keep you busy. If you're looking for something more to do, there's always other attractions to see. Old towns are up there with the best. Alternatively, this part of the country also has activities like mountain climbing and hiking. You're here, so you may as well make the most of it!

8 miles from North Shore is Somerville, where you can explore the Rainbow's End and Westfield Manukau City Shopping Centre. Expedia-listed Somerville hotels and accommodations are the Waldorf Newhaven - Botany Downs and Dannemora Motor Inn. 10 miles to the southwest of North Shore is Takanini, which is home to the Rayland Motel and Papakura Monument Motor Lodge. While visiting Takanini, set aside some time to check out the Auckland Botanical Gardens and Otara Markets.

How to Get to North Shore

Many tourists fly in and out of Auckland International Airport. From there, it's 16 miles to central North Shore. If you'd like to stay close to the terminal, the Novotel Auckland Airport and the ibis budget Auckland Airport are two terrific options.
