“Very nice and clean … loved the beautiful atmosphere… very peaceful and private… we highly recommend… we will be returning for the fall”

“Great location for our family outing. Plenty of room for everyone and a nice deck for relaxing outside. Easy ride to the Kickapoo River as well as surrounding towns for a little bumming.”

“This is a very good spot.”

“Neglected is the best word to describe this place. It has potential, but general maintenance seems to have been ignored for years. The ceiling fan shook so much it appeared it would fall off the ceiling any minute. The railing felt wobbly and, in general, the place was run-down. It was, however, clean and serviceable. The double tub was wonderful. The towels were something I would send with kids to camp rather than offer a guest. There were a few dishes to use, but you had to kneel on the floor……

“Staff was helpful. Hotel needs updating, and a little cleaning.”

“Room was clean. Parking was easy. Odd way to cheek into the hotel. 3 hotel staff around the counter and a stand up machine with a staff on the screen asking questions about my stay. It must have been something that would let them work remotely? Staff were friendly.”

“Close to where I needed to be.”

“Nice owner and nice job maintaining this old motel. They were doing the roof when we stayed. The first night, it was not over our rooms, but they stopped working at 8 PM anyway. The second night, they were working over our rooms, so woke us up at 7 AM. This is all understandable; it's maintaining the property during the off-season; has to be done SOMETIME, right? My one real complaint is that they seem to use some kind of Indian fragrance in the rooms. I woke up in the middle of the night and……

“Absolutely beautiful. Perfect getaway with the doggies. Will definitely be back!”

“Thank you for providing a perfect stay for our large group. You are a wonderfully generous host! Your beautiful property is unique in many ways: spacious floorplan, all bedrooms have private bathrooms, fire pit with ample seating, and easy access to the bike trail. The beds were incredibly comfortable—it was the first rental where I wished I could have taken the bed with me! We wanted to note that the first-floor bedroom does not have a shower. While this may have been an oversight on our part,……

“The outside and loby were pretty clean but the washer and dryer were dirty. My room was barely cleaned. The sheets were definitely not changed nor the shower cleaned. There was even a dirty wash rag hanging in the shower curtain still. I asked for the manager but I guess he wasn't there the 2 days I stayed. Front desk changed the bedding and that was it. Breakfast was fine.”
