We booked this home through VRBO for our wedding weekend because it could accommodate our entire bridal party and family — 26 people in total. We were so excited for everyone to be together, but what should’ve been a joyful stay turned into a stressful experience filled with confusion, misinformation, and zero accountability from both VRBO and Vacasa.The listing vaguely stated there were “5 free parking spots,” but never clarified that the neighborhood strictly limits each property to 5 total vehicles — period. No additional cars, visitors, or quick drop-offs are allowed. We learned this only a few days before arrival, and on the morning of our wedding, armed security guards at the gate turned away guests and even our hair and makeup artists. It was incredibly upsetting and created chaos on a day that should have been special.When we reached out to both VRBO and Vacasa, neither took responsibility. Vacasa refused to contact the HOA for temporary passes, even though the HOA confirmed to us that it was possible. We had to contact the HOA manager ourselves to fix the issue.The house was spacious but not clean — we found cockroaches in the kitchen — and Vacasa provided only one trash bag and one paper towel roll for 26 guests. The lack of transparency, cleanliness, and customer care completely ruined what should’ve been a once-in-a-lifetime weekend.
