week in Palm Springs

The location is perfect. This was my second time staying here. I did a girls weekend a few years ago. We very much enjoy the house. There was no bike pump but we contacted them and there was a pump an hour later. Only negative is it could be a little cleaner.

Honest feedback!

What we liked: 1) Beautiful residence! 2) Warm, large pool 3) Location extremely attractive, and felt very safe. Scenery breathtaking. 4) Managers, Mo and Todd, were very helpful and prompt in sorting issues, such as no wine glasses or pool lighting. What could be changed or improved: 1) Hot water in master bathroom took ages to come on, and on occasion ran out. Shower head quite small in master bathroom. Property a little shabby in places. 2) Spa did not work properly until second to last day. 3) Navy & white striped umbrellas in advert picture had been replaced by plain white ones. Shame as striped ones added to PS vibe! 4) Very loud building work on 2 sides of property, which started at 7 a.m. 6 days per week. 5) Proximity to mountains meant garden in shade by 2.45 p.m. in winter.

This House was a disaster

Overall this beautiful home was very poorly cared for. Examples of this are broken dishwasher, three severely clogged sinks (kitchen and bathrooms), unclean, hand soaps almost empty and their pumps dirty, television in back bedroom broken, pool heater never worked at all, and the worst of all the main lock on the door to the pool was completely broken and we had a 4 year old with us. Maintenance showed once and Rain was delightful but he was only able to clear one sink and although he attempted to fix the main lock it never worked. Major safety problem. We have stayed at homes and resorts all over the world and for the caliber of this home the service and overall appearance was terrible. I am praying this gets to the owner so that he or she can change management companies. Mostly you reach someone in Florida that just send an email out and they do not answer until weeks later. Please take care of this beautiful home.

Beautiful house, TERRIBLE management

House, location, and neighborhood are beautiful. Sadly, the management of property through VACASA was horrendous. My stay had to be shortened by one day due to their mistake and had to make about 12 calls to get the pool warmed.

Great House, Great Location

Great house in a great location. Great layout and space for guests. Air conditioning is maxed at 76 degrees. It was 122 degrees while we were there and the master bedroom always remained warm and somewhat uncomfortable. This room should be adjusted to a lower temperature. Management company was non responsive to reported issues during stay (ants) or after. Have had to call 5 times for a credit with no resolution. Other than the issue with the AC in the master bedroom and management company, this is a great house and highly recommended

Disappointing Stay in a wonderful City

I visit palm springs often, and it is truly a great city I hope everyone gets to experience. Unfortunately, this home is far from great. The home is very dated, and the pictures are somewhat misleading. The spa did not work well which was a disappointment. The home owners also have the thermostats locked in the high 70's, so being in the desert the home is very warm and all guests mentioned how hot they were. We did have a few issues, and when we called for help, it took over 24 hours to hear back from a "local" manager. On the last day, the cleaning crew showed up an hour before checkout and walked in on the guest still showering to get ready to leave. While Palm Springs is great, I'd not recommend this home for rental.

The Perfect Downtown Palm Springs Home

Stunning mid century modern home in the iconic downtown neighborhood. The management company was quickly responsive and very helpful. The backyard was very private with stunning views of the mountains. We have been going to Palm Springs for years and never had mosquito problems but this houses back yard was full of mosquitos. The lawn was soggy from the sprinklers going on multiple times a day, maybe the breading ground for them? All and all we will be back.

Felt like we were staying at our own private resort!

This vacation rental was the ideal vacation rental. Very clean, very tastefully decorated, and the entire home was bright and spacious. We rented 'Enjoy Life' to provide a mini vacation / mid-pandemic change of scenery for our family of four. The entire back side of the house are a series of glass doors that face the yard and pool, so even when you are inside escaping the heat, you still feel you are outside and you still get to enjoy the gorgeous mountains and palm trees that surround the very private property. We did experience difficulty getting hot water in the smaller master's shower (which is a giant double shower head shower), but we honestly didn't try very hard to trouble shoot it b/c it was only four of us, so the kids just showered in our master (also giant) shower which had no issues getting hot. There are only two wine glasses as mentioned in a previous review, it did not bother us, bc there were only two of us drinking wine, but I could see how that could be an unnecessary inconvenience with more couples sharing the space. Seems an easy not-too-crazy expense for the property to invest in some more wine glasses and I would also recommend some plastic wine glasses for people to safely enjoy their wine by the pool as well. : ) The wifi was not strong enough in the larger master for any of our devices to pick it up there, but it was great everywhere else in the house. There are TVs in every bedroom but there is no common area TV as also mentioned in another review, but the larger master has a tv-watching-couch and area to gather if your group needed to watch something together. For us, all the positives greatly outweighed the small quirks. This is definitely one of those properties where the pictures are beautiful, yet still don't even do it justice. I hesitate to compliment the house any more just because it could affect availability as we will most definitely be back ;).

False Advertising, Horrible response from manager

Said there were 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms, had 3 bedrooms & 3 bathroom & 1 powder room. Uncomfortable furniture, no TV in central location, sink clogged in master, only 2 wine glasses, frying pans warped, no Kleenex, ice maker broken, cabinet face falling off in kitchen. Horrible unresponsive management company. They wouldn't answer their phone, when they did they didn't show up when scheduled and didn't call to say they weren't coming or call to reschedule. Very disappointed. Would never rent a home managed by Wyndham.

Thankful Thanksgiving

We had a fabulous family vacation in the Rise house. Great location for daily walks . The setting is spectacular with the views of the mountains while sitting poolside. We hope to do it all again next year!

So relaxing!

Our group included two families. The house fit us perfectly and had a great feel. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful! Would definitely book again here. We all left Palm Springs feeling relaxed and recharged :)
