Lovely home

Great location. Very clean. Loved that we could open the garage door and live indoor/outdoors. Would have loved to try the fire pit but didn’t have the opportunity. John was a very gracious host; before our stay I asked if the vrbo had a cookie sheet, he bought one and had it in the kitchen waiting. As he knew I was cooking part of a Thanksgiving dinner, he asked if I needed to borrow any other items. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the area.

Birthday Getaway ******

What a great place to unwind and enjoy the time we take for granted sometimes! The view is beautiful. The fire pit was wonderful just to sit around and enjoy the company of my children and friend who came to celebrate a 65th birthday. It truly was an unforgettable memory for us. Thank you to the hosts who were just wonderful.

Wonderful

We have stayed at many VRBO homes throughout the years and I will have to say this is my favorite. There are too many great things to say about the hosts and the location, so overall know that you will be well taken care of and the amenities offered, left us not in want or need. Also an extra plus is the available electric bike rental, through our hosts!! This is done easily and onsite, no leaving our place to pickup. I do not think anyone could be disappointed by staying here. The cleanliness was superb, all linens were fresh and fragrant. Like I said, too many great things to mention in one setting, I am truthful about this space being an overall beauty.

Beautiful space

Stayed here with my mom and aunt for a long weekend/girl's trip. The space was very clean, well decorated, with thoughtful touches (welcome basket, spa slippers, drinks in the fridge), very comfortable bed (including the pull-out couch), plenty of extra bedding and towels. We loved the zero gravity chairs and the garage door that lifted so we could enjoy the weather and sunset from the living room area. It was wonderful! The space had everything we needed and was in a perfect location. John was quick to respond to questions and was wonderful to work with. We would definitely recommend this space and would love to rent it again next time we return to San Diego.

Perfection!

I have to say, this is the absolute nicest, well equipped vrbo of all the places I have ever stayed. The neighborhood is amazing, it’s a short walk to the beach and there is ample parking. The details were what really drew me in though; a welcome basket and welcome card, chocolates and water in the bedside table, towels and fresh slippers on the bed, lemon water, smart locks, kcups and cream and sugar, awesome water pressure, immaculate, so well appointed, and has an amazing view. John has thought of everything. He was very responsive and communicative. I will definitely vacation in this perfect spot later this year.

Beautiful Property

This gorgeous home in Point Loma was the perfect spot for my husband and I to relax and do some sightseeing in San Diego. The location is ideal! Close to everything with a picture perfect view. You can walk 6 blocks to Sunset Cliffs, and see the best view of the sunset in all of San Diego. The Cabana is spotless, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and has anything you would need! The bed is wonderful, and to wake up and see the sun coming through the garage door window is paradise. John checked in occasionally through text to see if we needed anything, and the Welcome Basket was such a thoughtful and personal touch that we really appreciated. VRBO’s don’t get better than this. Finding this gem made our trip to San Diego that much better! Can’t wait to stay here on our next visit!

Think twice before passing up on this hidden gem

I don’t usually write reviews unless something is really really good or really really bad, since anyone should be able to provide average…. I almost didn’t want to write this one, because I wanted this secret spot hidden. For the many years I’ve spent renting on these sites a few times a year, this is probably the top of my list! Words cannot explain how awesome this place was. John and Michael are spectacular hosts, and have thought of everything when it comes to the details and service they provide. Truly a quiet getaway with the view and amenities for a great stay. We stayed here to drop our son off for his freshman year at SDSU, and we were able to visit the hustle and bustle of downtown Ocean Beach while retreating to this newly remodeled location for the peace and quiet and the views from above. Pictures do not do this place justice, and all the 5 star reviews won’t either. Really, really impressed. The roll up door creates such an incredible space too…. Yes, you can thank me later - I accept Venmo :)

Beautiful ground floor apartment with private patio; amenities and special touches made our stay delightful. We never heard footfalls or voices from the owners upstairs after 9 pm. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely; a car is needed to access beaches, attractions and restaurants.

A perfect getaway

We visit San Diego frequently and I am always leery of renting a space within someone's home. However, this rental is absolutely perfect. Sunset Cliffs is quiet and stunningly beautiful. Street parking was easy and there was never an issue finding a spot in front of the house. The outdoor space is incredible and we especially enjoyed the fire pit. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and linens. The kitchen had everything we needed including a nice welcome basket of snacks and beverages. There are lots of little details that show the owners care about their guests' experiences (charging cords, clothing steamer, fresh basket of lemons, sunscreen, etc). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again.

Excellent area

My mom and I came out for the weekend and LOVED it. John is incredibly friendly and has a gorgeous property, it is even better than the photos. Being able to listen to the ocean right from the patio was lovely. Thank you for the wonderful experience and hospitality! We’ll be back.

Thoughtful hosts matter!

We had a lovely stay. Since we were there for nearly two weeks, it was especially important that our host foresaw our needs and items like extra linens, kitchen gear and a desk were provided. Spectacular EVERYTHING!

My husband and I visited our granddaughter and didn't get as much time as we would have liked to stay in the area. Boy do we wish we did! This rental was amazing with everything you could possibly think of there waiting for you. I have never slept on a more comfortable mattress and that means so muchb when you're on vacation.John was great with instructions on getting access and even welcomed us with a bottle of wine! Can't recommend staying here enough...we will and next time we will stay longer to enjoy all that is around.

San Diego Visit

Wow!-Our first reaction when entering this space. The thoughtfulness put into it all is clearly evident.Great ways to enjoy the beautiful ocean view; the kitchen is ready for whatever it is you may want to prepare; all amenities are of the highest caliber.John, our host, is very accessible and responsive. Wonderful Gem Deep within Sunset Cliffs

Great lower unit with patio and view. Parking is no issue. Groceries and restaurants are near by. Neighborhood is hilly but walkable with amazing views of the ocean, which is a small walk down the hill. We were able to relax in mid-winter with the large door to the living space open letting in the fresh air. The property owners were wonderful to work with, responsive to all needs and questions, and checked in repeatedly to ensure everything was going well.If you’re looking for a relaxing stay in an outstanding location, this is a property for you.

Great Stay

This was the best VRBO stay we've had. Everything was as advertised and more. From check in to check out, our stay was easy and smooth. John is very helpful any time his help is wanted and the attention to detail for this rental is unmatched. The location is perfect for San Diego and is in a quiet neighborhood. We went everywhere from downtown to old town to La Jolla within 15-20 minutes of this location by vehicle. I'd absolutely recommend this place for anyone wanting a nice, relaxing vacation to San Diego.

Views with a wow

To start, we will be back. We arrived late in the evening and with a short walk down the stairs, to the back of the main house, our stay started. The interior was clean and modern. With the morning sun rise, the views of the Pacific Ocean were breathtaking & picturesque. It was quiet, with friendly neighbors. We want to go back in order to open the overhead door and enjoy the weather.

Awesome Stay!

We could not have been more pleased with our four day stay. The location was excellent to get to the best that San Diego had to offer easily. Immense attention was paid to all the little details that made our stay feel like home. There were several little extras. The roll up garage door is an excellent feature. There was a clear view of the Pacific Ocean with nightly sunsets. There was even an outdoor fireplace. The hosts left many helpful recommendations for local eateries. The stay far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing stay.
