Lovely Holiday House

Our extended family of 9 had a great stay here over Thanksgiving week. The kitchen was well outfitted for all our holiday meal preparations and there was lots of room for everyone to spread and get comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Family beach vacation

The house was perfect for our extended family. This was the first time we have gathered together in one house and we were very happy with the number of rooms and bathrooms. The living space was very accommodating and the kitchen was large and well equipped for the meals we were making. We loved the ping pong and pool tables and the hot tub/back yard was a great asset. The back yard was nicer in person than the photos online. Plenty of parking and great access to the walk along east cliff as well as restaurants. Nice quiet neighborhood. More towels and bath mats would have been great. We had a little bit of trouble getting into the house at first but it all got straightened out. We hope to return next summer!

Terrific location and property... but beware

This is a very well appointed home in a terrific location blocks from the ocean with a nice layout for a family gathering. Regrettably there were several items that were not working during our stay (TV and entertainment systems and a persistent hammering plumbing noise when running water and flushing toilets). We later learned that the property recently had some repairs and renovations and we were the first guests following the work. When we contacted the host the first line response was excellent and we were assured someone familiar with the home would contact us. By the time we finally heard from someone we had already attempted all of the recommended fixes ourselves and there was little that could be done before our departure the following day. The office staff was apologetic and offered compensation which seemed like a reasonable solution although we would have preferred that the items had been working. Had the management company followed through this would be a 4.5 star review but the follow-up call that was promised has never come and our multiple follow up efforts have been ignored.

Beautiful House in Great Neighborhood

Beautiful house, in a great area, only a few minutes walk to the beach, However, for $1000 per night, a few finishing touches are in order. First of all, only a very samll roll of toilet paper was in each bathroom (we had to buy TP), two dish towels are not enought for a kitchen to cook for 8, no non stick pans, no coffee grinder, only two beach towels....... just little things like that. Otherwise a great place, but expensive.

Convenient location with plenty of room.

The house is very spacious and comfortable. I am a clean freak and feel that it would beneficial to have a deep clean. Some extra towels would be a nice touch. Kitchen was well stocked.

A Home Away from Home

We stayed at this terrific house for four nights. We are a multigenerational family - grandparents, adult couples, and a toddler and an infant. This house is: #1 impressively clean and well appointed; #2 spacious for all people. #3 The kitchen was fantastic and again, well appointed with so many necessary cooking utensils. Everyone had their own bathroom. The layout gave plenty of space to be together and to be separate. We used the hot tub nightly, and even in the day at bit. And we had a blast playing pool and ping pong in the basement. It's also just 1 1/2 blocks from the ocean . We could walk to beaches as well as to a wonderful wooden path just a few blocks to the north. The Boardwalk is a quick drive. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is an easy 40 minute drive away. I 'm sure we'll return to this house again.

Trip to the aquarium!

We loved this property, although we did go through 3 security codes in 5 days. The property manager was quite helpful. Also ants, all over the kitchen.

Fantastic place!

We stayed here for three days for a low key wine tasting and beach vacation and it was amazing. Great location, close to the beach with some great amenities. It was very comfortable and perfect for our trip.

Great family home!

We had a wonderful time enjoying the spacious home and all of the amenities! The location was perfect for the surfers in the family and we also enjoyed walking to the cute shops in the area. The home was very clean and comfortable. :-)

Magical Thanksgiving Vacation

We spent a week at this wonderful house with our family (8 adults and 2 young grandsons). We all loved the house and the area! The house was spacious and had plenty of room for everyone. The house is walking distance to the ocean with a nice walking/running path. We enjoyed the many different beaches along the ocean. We had plenty of beach chairs and toys for the kids, including a wagon to haul our things to the beach. We could also walk to coffee shops, restaurants and surf shops! We’ve rented many houses for our family vacations over the years and everyone agreed this was definitely our favorite!! Turnkey Reservations was also very responsive to our text messages before and during our stay. It helped to make the total experience a magical one!!

Lovely for our group

This is a wonderful house with a large gathering space and kitchen on the top floor, bedrooms on the entry level and a game room on the lowest level…. There were comfortable beds for us all, a well appointed kitchen, and great walks along the coast just a few blocks away. Capitola was a mile and a half walk away, and there were many surfers to watch. We can’t wait to go back!

Awesome house

This house was amazing. The rooms were luxurious and the beds were very comfortable. So many spaces for people to socialize so comfortably. The views and the breezes were great. The hot tube was very nice. The only downside was the late check in (4pm, not a minute sooner) and the early check out (10am)

Wonderful place for a family gathering

This was our second time staying at this property and we had a wonderful time once again! There is plenty of room for several families. The large kitchen table and comfortable living room were very conducive to good food and conversation. The kids loved the bunk beds, toys, books, and game room. Property management is working on a leak in the hot tub, but we were still able to refill and use it when we wanted. The home is overall very clean, but if you don't clean up your food in the kitchen promptly, there is a tendency for ants to visit. Great food and beaches are a short drive (or walk in some cases) away. We'd definitely stay again! I'm providing this honest review in exchange for a gift card. All views are solely mine.

Family time

What a fantastic home! Perfect for our Arizona and California family members to gather and enjoy Capitola. My kids loved the hot tub and I loved the kitchen where there was room to cook together and then share our meal at the dining room table. We surfed and rode bikes. And of course, a visit to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.

Fun girls trip

The location is awesome. We were able to walk to the surf early in the morning, which was the main reason we were in town. The house is fabulous, honestly. Clean, spacious, great speakers for music throughout the home, pool and ping pong, hot tub, kitchen with everything we needed. This place had it all. We thoroughly enjoyed the space and were grateful to spend time there together. This home would be fun to share with two families, or with a group of friends. This is a well cared for home in a sweet residential area. Be respectful (and envious) of the people who live in the neighborhood full time, it would be a shame to lose access to such a great rental.
