“The place is pretty cozy ”

“The new owners of the hotel have done a superb job creating a beautiful and restful atmosphere. The location and views of the River are excellent.”

“Overall, this really was a great hotel experience. It seems it’s mostly a hostel but has a few hotel rooms with their own showers; we got a king bedroom with our own shower. It worked out great. The shower / bathroom was great and it was well decorated. The front desk staff were very kind and friendly on arrival and when we left. If you have any mobility challenge, this is not the place for you as you have to climb some stairs. The bed is fairly firm, but not hard per se. Street parking……

“Rooms need little upgrade and better lighting! Staff were friendly and breakfast was decent. Overall okay for a night or two. Location is good.”

“Easy check-in and check-out. Restaurant food was good and staff were great. There is no a/c at this property. It cooled off enough at night that we didn’t really need it. Bathroom was tiny. Need to update decor. Plug outlets cracked and loose - need replacement ASAP. Be sure to fuel up if going to Mt. Rainier or you’ll be looking at a 25 minute drive just to fuel up.”

“I thought I was booking a room at the historic McMenamin's Gearhart Hotel. Our room ended up being in the annex next door. I asked if I clicked to choose the annex accidentally and was told that they randomly book folks into there. I should have called to specify. Oh, I didn't know. Next time.”
