I think you get what you pay for, so it was mostly what we expected. I did hope there would be ice and hot water (for tea) available, but no go.

The rooms are decent, spacious and equipped kitchen is very convenient, plentiful parking, and friendly front desk staff. The only issue was the cleanliness. There were the usual things -- back of doors and baseboard heaters were grungy -- but much worse. Faeces on toilet seat, pretty sure a couple towels were not washed between guests, hairs around bathroom, unclean surfaces. Once you discover a few of these things, you just don't feel clean in the room at all.

They have all been clean and well maintained. Some times a bit spartan as far a decor, but that is not really an issue. The biggest negative has been highway/ other vehicle noise. I've been woken up at every hotel on this trip repeatedly through our the night. Maybe some ear plugs would help.

It was convenient to downtown Astoria and the price was reasonable for short notice and a weekend. The unit directly above the office essentially jetted out to get all of the Highway 101 traffic at night. There were a number of contractors staying there for the bridge project, so it was what was available, just not particularly relaxing. It is on the highway, so that is a factor.
