“Really enjoyed our stay. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Room very nice, bed comfy and a great shower. Enjoyed evening relaxing in the Gazebo overlooking the river passing below. Breakfast is at the Olive Tree cafe in the village and is well worth the walk. The satnav takes you to the center of the village but the lodge is actually on the very edge of the village. Plenty of space to park the car. Thoroughly recommend.”

It had been an overcast day but while travelling on the A7 towards Hawick, the sun came out for a few minutes and highlighted the monument on Dryden Knowes at Teviothead, against a heavy sky.
