“I booked 2 rooms, both of which were excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, recently fitted bathrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. “Very disappointing. I paid £98 for a very basic twin room for 1 night. Only 1 bed was made up and room was clean but very dated, and the property and grounds have seen better days and are overall quite scruffy. No TV in room but was told I could watch TV downstairs if I wanted to. The shower didn't work properly - either scalding hot or dribbled out cold water. Sink took ages to drain, noisy radiator. “Parking was easy, lots of spaces close to the Reception area and 24hrs of free cover provided in our overnight booking. Room was clean and functional, albeit slightly dated but everything worked - perfect for an overnight stopover. There were plenty who had dogs with them and a small lake at the back of the property for walking around. We couldn't hear any real noise from the nearby roads and the bedding was great, very comfortable. The Receptionist was also really helpful and friendly ”

“Check in was quick. Room was dated but clean and tidy. Gym was adequate. However, I barely slept. The room was ridiculously warm, even with the windows open. The walls were paper thin so I could hear everything in the neighbouring rooms. The hotel is on a main road so the traffic noise was loud with the window open. ”
