Around the corner from UMC Banner Hospital & the Univ of AZ. We offer two bedrooms (1 queen/ 1 full size). Creatively decorated w western ranch motif, special touches of big fluffy towels, essential kitchen supplies and toiletries. There is a large porch with 4 person patio table, two sitting chairs and semi-private yard. There is a grill for your space located on the side of porch. Laundry Area is shared w studio. We offer backyard parking for one vehicle & Street parking avl for extra vehicles or oversized trucks. Keybox Checkin for flexibility. Up to 2 Friendly dogs welcome. Cat Owners please inquire for special notes. The property also has a guest house in the back that shares the driveway and the laundry room. There is a full size kitchen with a new frig, microwave, stove/oven, toaster, coffee maker and most supplies needed for a short stay. One bedroom has an adjustable bed with a high quality memory foam mattress and a small sitting desk. The other bedroom has a Full size bed - memory foam mattress. Each bedroom includes a closet, places to hang clothes, set luggage, and a few small drawers for personal items. Wifi is available, as well as, 160 channel extended antennae . The 3 smart TVs have immediate capability to logging into your favorite movie sites (hulu, netflix) we do not provide logins though. Bathroom is large and has a walk in shower. Shampoo, conditioner and soap is provided, as well as, big fluffy white towels. The living room has a double lazy boy sofa and smart tv. There is a large front ranch style porch with a propane grill and sitting table for 4, as well as, two lounge chairs and in the garden is a small firepit. The laundry room is shared with the guest house and is decorated like a garden room, and has a slightly old washer and dryer (works great though) free for guest use, along with some cleaning supplies like brooms, mops, cleaning agents etc to share with the back studio. Parking is located in the back, follow the signs to your personal space for one vehicle per unit. If your vehicle is oversized or your party has more than one, then street parking is available. Please note there are outdoor cameras on the property for everyones protection. Tampering with them is not allowed and will result in terminating agreement. The listing made it seem like everything "outside" was shared, but that is not the case. One tenant gets one fire pit/area and the other tenant gets the other. Cant pick/no choice. The property is kind of tucked away and the driveway is tight and narrow. We missed it, and had to turn around and go back through. The laundry room smelled a bit like urine, and there was all kinds of leaves/debris in the washer. Overall didnt look clean. The furniture in the house is outdated and stained. The one recylined chair pictured in the listing had an ottoman, and it was broke, held together by one screw. My mother almost hurt her leg using it. The iron door lock/hook to the bathroom was broken and fell off when we tried to lock the bathroom door, almost got my toe (heavy as hell). The rugs in the bedroom were stained and nasty. The beds were uncomfortable. Kitchenware out dated. The decor was awful, and untasteful. No firewood available. So that i was not blamed/charged i contacted the "host" to advise of the broken items. At that point i was told the people that stayed prior to us was there for a week and they did a number.. I then used that time to ask about fire wood, and was told that "wood" was not provided. However, the host did come on the property later that day to bring some old wood from the back/woods part of the house. I will not stay here again. Very comfortable beds, extremely fluffy towels and a kitchen well appointed for cooking. The heating worked great as we encountered a cold snap. We loved the outdoor fire as well. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet. Robin and Bob were super helpful and kind. The visitors in the studio behind were lovely and respectful. It's incredibly well decorated, which doesn't come through in the photos as well as it does in real life. It's not the most important part of a property, for sure, but it shows the owner really cares about this place! Everything was very clean and tidy, and I've actually never felt such fluffy towels. The entire process was streamlined and very simple. The host was easy to reach and very friendly. And, my personal favorite was how down to earth they were about pets. It's free fee (for now) assuming you do your due diligence as a pet owner and clean up after them and keep them under control. They even acknowledge that some dogs are couch dogs and only ask that you cover the furniture before letting them up. Very very reasonable, and our pups definitely appreciated getting to sleep on the couch just like at home. :) But even if you don't have pets, there's so much to love about this place. The shower is glorious and is stocked for you, so you don't have to bring shampoo/conditioner. The kitchen is a full kitchen and well stocked. I was able to easily find every tool I needed, and they even provided some coffee! And there was even a washer/dryer! (This was just the icing on the cake for us.) The location is perfect. We were about a \~5min drive from any errands we needed to run - Walmart, Petsmart, Wholefoods, etc. Our main attractions were breweries and hikes, and we were 10-15min from countless breweries and about half and hour from some amazing hikes. The Tucson District of Saguaro NP was right about 30min. Overall, this is for sure somewhere I would stay again if I ever come back through Tucson. Seemed to be a good neighbourhood and very convenient. We never drove far to get supplies or go to attractions. Decor and comfort were top knotch although the kitchen supplies were a bit skimpy for an 11 day stay. ie one dishcloth and tea towel, 10 water glasses but only 1 wine glass, no garlic press, 3 bread knives but no chef's knife or decent paring knife for cutting vegetables. Minor things that made it a bit difficult to cook all our meals. The beds were comfortable and the streets had little traffic. The kitchen was a nice size for the four of us. Only complaint , no hangers in one bedroom closet. The bedroom with the wooden bed shared a wall with the other rental. During the quiet of the night we heard everything. Not much different than in a hotel. Nice period decorations. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. Great location! and really nice place. Reminded me of grandma's houses in S CA. Great parking and quiet! Easy to buzz around town from and good internet with a tv in three rooms. This place was just about perfectly equidistant for such travels. We REALLY enjoyed the front covered porch; perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and there's plenty of distance between houses. The back of the "Ranch House" adjoins another accommodation but as long as you are hanging out in the front, you have complete privacy. There's a "common area" consisting of a table and BBQ/grill, which was a bit awkward, but we were able to use the grill nightly without bothering our neighbors too much. Suitcase racks in the rooms were a nice touch. Plenty of plugs / sockets for USB / charging cords. TVs in every room. Super WiFi. Host is extremely responsive. Off-street parking for security (in rear of property). Property is within 15 minutes of downtown Tucson, very near Randolph Sports complex (golf, tennis) . Great towels, good shower. Host provided condiments / coffee on arrival. Washer / drier worked a treat. When I first booked the reservation, it had to be changed due to an unforeseen issue. Robin was great and re-booked the two nights we stayed for the following week. We like the cottage because it is very quiet, and close to Banner University Medical Center. It is tastefully updated and is half the price of hotels in the same area.
