Enjoy peaceful Big Island Hawaii in a Contemporary Hawaiian Craftsman Cottage style home set in a Tropical Rainforest directly outside Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. The custom designed & built home features artisan beds with fine linens, private baths, cozy fireplaces, and hot tub. The home is nestled in a native Hawaiian rain forest in Mauna Loa Estates with giant ferns and Ohia trees in the storybook arts community of Volcano Village.

The home consists of 4 bedrooms with private baths and smart TV's. The living room has a beautiful lava rock wood burning fireplace and two of the bedrooms have gas fireplaces. The home also has 4 outside patio's/lanai's to enjoy the views and sounds of the rainforest.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has counter island seating and a table for 8. Another table for 4 is located just off the dining room.

Here in Volcano, all of water is rainwater that we collect in our catchment system. It has been filtered and UV sterilized for potable and normal use. We do ask that all our guests help us conserve water by not taken long showers and not allowing the water to run when you are brushing your teeth. We do have “on demand” hot water systems to help us conserve energy so please be patient while the water heats up for showers and sinks.

In keeping with Hawaiian custom, we ask that you remove your shoes in the house.

During your stay:
The owners live on the property in a separate space away from the main house.

Volcano house

This is in a great location for visiting the park. The house was very clean and well stocked. Each bedroom is very warm and cozy and the hot tub was nice to have.

Relaxing Lava Pond Lodge

An extended family of eight thoroughly enjoyed staying at this VRBO property. We were immersed in the feeling of the volcano national park while being very close to the lodge. This property is perfect for an extended family reunion. We very comfortably cooked many meals in the kitchen and even enjoyed the fireplace. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus also.

Volcano Vacation

Beautiful home just minutes away from Hawaii Volcano National Park. All the comforts of home. Lots of games, books, puzzles and movies to keep us entertained in the evening. The hot tub was great to soak in after a long day of hiking in the park. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend to friends and family.

Beautiful location and great house

We spent a week here and it was really nice. It is very close to the Volcanos National Park but in a private lush neighborhood. The house is really neat- well laid out and nicely equipped. It’s clean and comfortable. If we get to go back early next year, I will for sure book it again. I recommend it to anyone going to see the volcanos.

Volcanoes National Park Family Celebration

Stayed in this beautiful home for 3 nights! Wonderful location. We spent mornings touring at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, then retreated to our VRBO for a quiet afternoon to relax. Hot tub was wonderful for this! Location close to the national park meant we were able to beat the crowds in the morning. House has a nice layout. Would definitely book again.

Volcano nest

Wonderful home for groups of 6 to 8 people. All four bedrooms have nice, private baths, tho one has twin beds (great for kids). Also a very nice kitchen. Best part is quick & easy proximity to Volcanoes National Park, so we were able to make multiple visits per day (resting in between). Also close to Volcano town and its cafes. House has a gas grill, so stop in Hilo before you come up and grab steaks or burgers.

Great for family or friend group

We really enjoyed our stay- comfortable beds plenty of towels, cooking pots, utensils, plates, etc. Hot tub was great. So close to everything- just a mile or to to town or park entrance. No washer/dryer which I had not noticed on listing-luckily we had just washed clothes at last location. We enjoyed bottled water with hot/cold dispenser. In checkin note we were told not to drink tap water. We didn’t know if this was for safety or taste but we decided to be careful and even brushed teeth with bottled water. We enjoyed games and lots of helpful information about the area. Definitely a wonderful place to stay in Volcano!

Close to Volcanoes National Park

Our family of 9 rented the entire house for 4 nights. It was clean, very comfortable and nicely decorated. The grounds were also lovely offering privacy from neighbors. We chose this property as it is very close to the entrance to Volcanoes NP, as well as the town of Volcano, and were definitely pleased with our choice. Sarah was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful House/ B&B Conveniently Located Near Volcano National Park

The house was well appointed and well maintained. Loved the location and the hot tub (popi;ar with the kids in the groups). Only think we lacked was having a washer and dryer on site. Otherwise, it was perfect for our group and our stay.

Great place for extend family stay

This house feels cozy, but provides plenty of space for a large crowd. The owners were so helpful, and even brought over games for us to play on a rainy night. The lush tropical forest provides plenty of privacy.

Super Clean and Well Stocked Nearby Volcanoes Natl Park

This was a multi-generation trip grand-parents, parents, and grand kids 7 and 10. My wife is super picky about cleanliness and this place passed muster with her. The house was very well stocked with bathrobes, snacks, bottled water, a hot/cold water dispenser and firewood for the fireplace in the living room. A previous review said the cover of the hot tub was hard to remove, but it was quite easy. My only suggestion would be to provide instructions for the coffee maker - we had to figure that out for ourselves. It was a wonderful stay.

FANTASTIC STAY NEAR VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK!

Our family of 10 (ages 2-85) felt this was the perfect rental so close to VNP. We loved having the hot tub on the front porch, so nice to have 4 bedrooms w private bathrooms. The pull out sofa was comfortable. Sarah was an amazing host, providing travel cribs for the 2 babies, Fans for the upstairs bedroom, an air mattress, ideas for day trips, and even let us send an amazon package before we arrived. Great space in the kitchen and well stocked for baking. We loved our stay and are very grateful! Loved the frogs singing us to sleep at night as well. Thanks Sarah! A trip to remember!

Great family vacation home

This is a perfect location for visiting the volcano, black sand beach and more. The house also fit 10 people very comfortable. The rain forest, tropical vegetation and animals my make the experience even better. The house is fully equipped with everything you could need, plus the hot tub is a plus.
