“We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend away at Fisher’s point. The cottage was beautifully decorated and surrounded by gorgeous landscapes. We loved how remote and private the property was, which allowed for a super relaxing vacation. The kids enjoyed all the wildlife that nature had to offer and fishing from the beach area. The house had a fully stocked kitchen and everything we needed to feel at home! Thank you for sharing your amazing piece of paradise with our family!”

“This is an absolutely lovely place to stay. The views of the river are so soothing, and the neighborhood deliciously quiet. The owners were responsive & helpful when we ran into an internet problem. Kitchen is minimal but I didn't go there to cook ;-) We had fun exploring the nearby towns (Bath and Washington) and the wildlife reserves, but the best part was just sitting on the deck and breathing.”

“Step back in time in New Bern and stay in this comfortable historic home. We had toyed with staying at a historic B&B and then decided to go this route and have the privacy of the whole home to ourselves. Fun 1920s feel with two bedrooms. Lovely back porch for morning coffee. Walkable distance to most things or a quick 2 to 3 minute drive to the riverfront, Tryon Palace and shops/restaurants. All photos in listing are accurate. Communication with owner was easy and prompt.”

“Very clean and is area is very peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed the view of fishing boats up and down the channels. Only negative is the beds are high and if you are short it was a challenge to get into, but they were very comfortable. Would use this "casita" again.”

If you are interested in cooking, you have a fully equipped kitchen with a really pots and pans. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and lovely and showers are great!! “The home was nice but I did not realize it was a condo setting. I did not like having to interrupt my stay by going to the check in office the following morning, since I did not arrive until 7 pm and they cut my door access off at 10 am the following morning.”

“The property is in a really great area. The home itself is a great place to stay for a vacation, with many beds and enough rooms. However, the bathrooms and kitchen seemed not well maintained. While we did not need to use the kitchen, we were not keen to use the Bathroom for a shower since we didnt like it . Overall good stay, except clenliness of the place.”
