“I expected that the cabin would be ruined from the flood. I called a day or so before I was due to arrive when I got an automatic message about arrival. Of course I was not comfortable coming as I had a reservation for the end of camp and camps had closed and girls sent home. “My wife and I spent a couple of nights and love the atmosphere. Secluded is a good way to describe this property and it was exactly what we were looking for.You have great views from the firepit area of the hill across the valley and there are good views from the front porch.But, the best part was the peacefulness sitting in the mountain breeze and listening to the birds and nature. “Great place to getaway and relax. It was quiet, of the main road and the property and cabin were well maintained. Water level in the lake was good, and it was fun to watch the night come to life under the stars. “Talk about being in the middle of no where, Ricks cabin is that. The cabin is situated 6 miles out of Comfort situated in the hills about 1800 feet above sea level. Getting to the cabin can be challenging but follow Ricks directions to the tee and you will be ok. On the way out we made a mistake and followed GPS directions, took a wrong turn and ended up driving down a really rough unpaved road leading to a really spooky looking cabin. The previous rave reviews are spot on with their commentary……
