COMPLETELY Gutted, Renovated & Updated in 2021 down to the studs! Light, Bright, Open, and BEAUTIFUL!! We have owned properties on Fripp Island since 2005. This is TRULY one of the highest quality villa units Fripp Island has to offer. We are excited to share it with you!

Welcome to Crab Bait, #183 of the Beach Club Villas, -- RIGHT across the street from the beach, pools, bars, food and behind the pickleball/tennis courts. Stunning view of the canal and marsh from the Private Screened Porch. First floor, side- entrance unit which means privacy! Our lovely home can sleep 4. It's ideal for a family that wants to be steps from the beach and close to EVERYTHING. The first-floor location makes it convenient for seniors or anyone not wishing to navigate a lot of stairs.

*PLEASE NOTE! 7-day, Saturday to Saturday, Rentals ONLY in the Summer (Memorial Day-school starts). We are happy to quote you a monthly rental rate for off-season months (November through March) -- just ask.

DOG FRIENDLY: We designed this home's finishes to be pet friendly because we love to walk our dogs on the beach! Dogs have been in this home. Our cleaners do a FABULOUS job of cleaning our villa, however, if you have strong pet-allergies, this may not be the place for you. If you want to share your Fripp experience with your dog, they are welcome in our home! Dogs allowed at this property -- 2 dogs only. $150 extra fee for each dog.

All of the island amenities (golf, tennis, pools, restaurants, bars, etc.) are owned by the Club. In order to use these amenities, you have to be a Club member or a guest of a Club member. We are Club members and can purchase guest cards for you for an additional fee. The prices are set by the Club and vary depending on the time of year and length of stay. Rates are $50/card for a summer week or $35/card for non-summer rentals. Amenity Cards are REQUIRED for anyone 13 years old or older.

If you want a golf cart or bike to get around the island, we recommend booking your rental with the Fripp Island Excursions & Rentals. They are located on the island, have MULTIPLE options, & can service the cart/bike immediately if necessary. Off-island vendors are also available such as Sutcliffe and Sea Island Cart Rental. Be sure to reserve a gas golf cart. There are no charging stations in the parking lot.

Enjoy fishing or crabbing on the private dock right out the back door, reserved specifically for Beach Club Villa guests! Grill on the community charcoal grills.

Carol’s condo was fantastic. The unit was clean and looks even better in person as compared to the photos. The marsh view is lovely and the screened in porch makes it a great place for morning coffee or sunsets with no bugs. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, and cooking necessities for meal prep since the Island food options can be somewhat limited. The location is perfect. Right next to the pickleball and tennis courts and across the street from the Beach Club restaurant, Island Bites fast food, adult pool, and pool bar. Highly recommend renting a golf cart to check out all the different beach accesses (which have golf cart parking but no car parking). Less than 10 min drive to both golf courses. We would absolutely stay again. It was the perfect option for the two of us and our dog (60 lb chocolate lab).

Comfortable and relaxing escape from fast paced city life. The condo had all the amenities needed to make home cooked meals. Our 13 year old dog slept outside on the deck in the cool night air. Something for everyone.

Best spot on Fripp
We loved the location of the condo. The back deck allowed us to feel remote while all the action was just outside the front door. Our kids loved the fishing dock in the back and we enjoyed the recommendations in our packet. Only drawback were the steps in/out. I probably missed this on the listing - I read ‘main floor’ but will note there are 7-8 steep stairs. We had a handicap child with us, but we figured it out.

On Fripp Island Time!
Our stay was wonderful. This rental has everything you need. It was very clean and open. We liked how easy it was to do some laundry. The beds were very comfy! We loved the outdoor patio and that leads to out back where the grills are. The view is gorgeous. It was overall a wonderful stay and we’d love to go back to this place.

Annual Fripp Trip
We stayed in this villa last year for our annual family trip and loved it so much that we came back again this year! As always, Carol was a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with. The condo is beautiful, well stocked with all the essentials and is in a prime location. It's within walking distance of one pool, pickle ball & tennis courts and a short golf cart drive to the beach and other pools. Thanks again for another great stay!

Great Location
We have been visiting Fripp for 15 years now and this was definitely one of our favorite properties. It was super clean and newly renovated. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook a couple of meals. The washer and dryer as well as all of the appliances were very nice. The Marsh views were spectacular from the screened in porch. The walk to the beach only required our beach cart loaded and pulled across the street(we hardly drove our rented golf cart). Everything was wonderful. Bonita boathouse was not as good Friday night. (same issue since covid...not enough staff and food was not good) I would like to note however that the other 2 times we went there it was good.

Fripp Get Away
Property is as advertised, great location in the middle of the island secluded but yet inclusive. The beach access is across the street along with the main pools and the sandbar "daiquiri bar" . The beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, first floor unit with minimal steps (79 year old mother had no problems). Views from the back enclosed and screened deck of the marshes were fabulous! Carol quickly answered all of our questions and was extremely responsive. Can not wait until our next stay!

Beautiful clean property with everything you could possibly want or need! Great central location on the island with an amazing (dolphins included) view of the marsh out the back screened in porch!! Classy boho decorated unit with all the upgrades. Great communication with owner - we would definitely rent this condo again!!

Fripp villa
This was the best stocked rental we ever had in last 40 years. The villa was nicely decorated & clean with nice towels, had a nice view from the screened in porch, was close to the beach & Fripp club facilities (the workout club is 1st rate), the restaurants & resort offices (all Fripp staff very courteous and helpful) & pools and has a nice crabbing deck close to the villa, the HVAC, washer & dryer & ceiling fans worked perfectly as did the internet and all the TV's. The only issues were parking was tight at times & we had people above us who seemed to stomp not walk on the floors. I also would have liked a direct contact to the owner (cell, text or email) instead of only via VRBO. We hope to rent another VRBO property from the owner next year!

We can't say enough positive about this property and Fripp. Impeccably clean upon arrival. Stocked with all the accoutrements that we needed for cooking, beach pleasure and relaxing. The view of the marsh is amazing. We saw egrets, herons, eagles, dolphin, and yes, deer right from the back deck...Location is excellent as we had an amazing view of the marsh and the ocean, pool, food court, business center and Beach Club less than a 2 minute walk away. Already planning next years' visit.
