Ven a respirar el aire salado del océano y escucha las olas golpear la orilla. El transporte público se detiene justo en nuestra esquina, o simplemente siéntate y toma el ferry. A 10 minutos del paseo marítimo, barcos, tiendas y ferry a la histórica Boston. Los senderos para bicicletas locales recorren marismas protegidas repletas de vida silvestre. Ven a fotografiar los cisnes, las garzas y las garcetas. Todas las fotos de la vista del agua que se muestran aquí fueron tomadas desde el frente de la casa. Devorah nos dejó además algo de comida a la llegada que nos vino fenomenal porque llegábamos sin comer. La casa posee todo lo que puedas necesitar... hasta kayaks. Está en frente del mar; cruzando la calle accedes al waterfront. Cuando sube la marea queda todo cubierto y puedes acceder a bañarte x escaleras. Cuando la marea está baja queda una mini playa de grava. That was not the case. The house sits on a fork in the road so it is surrounded my all street and you can hear EVERY SINGLE car that passes by. For a light sleeper like myself the struggle was real.The shower needs a major remodel as you can tell where their is just repair tape and stickers to cover up the breakdown of the tub.After night one I also realized the pillow i slept on had mildew stains. This was an excellent location for us since it's only a 20 to 30 minute drive away. The apartment is very eclectic with fun decorative touches and an interesting history. Susan was an excellent host and responded quickly to all our requests for information. The view of Boston across the water is stunning. It's an easy 20-minute walk to a grocery and good restaurant which also offers delivery. The only real negative was traffic noise at night. This cottage, which in the 1940s was the local general store, has been transformed into a quirky and homey cottage. The floor may not be 100% level, but it is original hardwood and very clean and in good condition. It was furnished with lovely antiques and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked and all the appliances worked perfectly. There are 2 window air conditioning units in the cottage for your comfort, and table fans if needed. We went in October with perfect weather, so didn’t use either the air conditioners or the heat. The crowning jewel of this place is the view, and the availability of a rocky beach for shell and beach glass hunting right across the street. The host was always available for any concerns, even at midnight when we arrived and had some initial questions. Its location close to the ferry makes it very easy to take a day trip into Boston. Parking and navigation was easy as was access to the bus a block away. Walks along the Quincy Bay view street were pleasant. Our hostess was great with all kinds of helpful advice. Cost was quite reasonable. The only negative was traffic noise our first night \[Thursday\]. Nits were uneven floors that settled over the decades and a shower that could use updating. Know it was going to be hectic but all the people running in the race and everyone cheering all throughout the course was absolutely amazing. We loved the quirky floors of the old building. Took me back to my childhood in my grampas farm house. Then when I learned the history of the property, I fell in love.
