The location of the motel was significantly farther from the work area than represented, and essential services such as food and shipping were extremely limited without transportation. Due to these conditions, the reservation was not practical or usable for our needs. We purchased cancellation insurance specifically to protect against situations like this. However, Expedia refused to allow us to cancel the reservation online and instead directed us to the insurance provider. The insurance company then required us to answer unreasonable questions and submit unnecessary evidence simply to justify the cancellation. This process has been burdensome and unfair, especially given that the circumstances clearly made the stay unsuitable. I am requesting that the reservation be canceled and refunded in accordance with the insurance coverage purchased and the circumstances described. Brother Don's a few doors down with live music is always a good time. We stay and golf in the area. Check-in was easy and quick, and the price was reasonable. Every room has a beautiful water view. My room was so comfortable and exceptionally clean. Furnishings were top notch. I was appreciative of the drapery that was one piece, so didn't have that annoying area in the middle that doesn't completly close.
