Outdated Hotel but Excellent Location and Friendly
It is an outdated hotel and not well maintained or cleaned. However, the person at the reception and the lady who prepared the breakfast are excellent. Especially the person at the reception is very helpful and speaks English and he provided excellent help. The breakfast is also not bad and specially prepared and includes cheese and eggs and olives, bread, sausages etc. Unfortunately, the rooms are extremely dirty and the shower cabin door didn't close and water was leaking. The bed was also not so comfortable. However, the AC works and the room size was relatively big compared to similar hotels. Its good for a budget stay for a day or two if you don't mind the cleanliness and it's in an excellent location near Gare du Nord (Bucharest main train station) and thus very well connected by metro and tram and by train. Andy Hotel is also easy to reach from the airport via train. So it has its pros and cons and you need to decide for yourself. Price is reasonable.

I didn’t expect much for the price paid, especially since I was staying there for only a few hours. But the towels were dirty, the toilet bin was full of hygienic trash, there was a really bad smell in the bathroom that protruded in the room also, and the lady at the reception tried to talk professional however her body language expressed annoyance and rudeness. The good thing though was that I forgot my adapter with chargers in the room and someone else went to pick it up next day on my behalf and they gave it without me contacting them.

Great location in Bucharest

The whole team was great!! Very helpful and accommodating. The condition of the hotel itself is a little run down but the team members make up for it with their customerservice skills and friendliness! The bed was clean, so was the room.

Find somewhere else!
WiFi was terrible, lights did not work in room, very noisy, one towel for 2 people, no other bath linen at all, no toiletries, no tea or coffee making facilities, there was a sheet on the bed and the cover was in the cupboard and did not cover 2 people so I slept in my clothes. On arrival the receptionist was dismissive, either that or she needs happy pills. It would have been really helpful to know how close the hotel is to the train station - perhaps a diagram of the area would help so that the Taxi drivers would not be able to scam money from visitors by taking them to the hotel through a round-a-bout of one-way streets pretending the hotel was not within walking distance of the railway. A three star hotel - you have to be kidding me!

I loved the breakfast
The room was quite small but it had a TV screen, a small double-bed, and a medium-sized bathroom which was clean and pleasing. It is a 3 stars hotel but I wish I got a shaving kit. In the morning I served by myself a continental breakfast which was special thanks to the Swedish serving. I could take any items I wanted and I have to mention that there were quite a few to pick up from.

Make sure they confirm room type!
Having booked a room stating king bed or twin beds, selected twin beds and added note that we must have separate beds. Arrived to be told twin beds not available in that room category, and a twin room would be €5 more

Great location hotel.
The hotel has a great location, it's across the street from bus/train station. The hotel is okay for only one or two nights. Good breakfast served. But I did spot two roaches during my stay. They have roaches but for one night is fine.

Nice place, pleasant staff and overall decent. Maybe could do with a better handy man or he needs to be better informed but its all minor stuff. I Walked most places as the centre is a 15~20min walk, or just next to the metro and train station, where there is usually an abundance of taxi's should you prefer.

Andy Hotel
Andy Hotel is a perfect place to stay if you need to be around Bucharest's North train station (Gara de Nord). It's directly across the street which can save you time especially if you're in a crunch to catch your train. The workers at the hotel were very inviting and actually quite kind, and I've had a lot of bad experiences with customer service in Romania. While some of their carpet in the hotel may be stained, it still stands out from other hotels in Romania.

Adequate enough
The hotel was ok, close to the train station, and the rooms were comfortable enough. However, the hallway was full of smoke even though we were in the no smoking area. The walls were very thin and we could hear almost everything that was said in the bar at the ground floor. All in all it did its job although it may be a bit overpriced.

Pleasant surprise
Stayed there for 1 night between a flight and a train next day. The hotel is right across the street from the main station - so if you're coming from the airport and have a train to catch next day, it's ideal. The day receptionist even found us 2 guys who helped with the luggage. The night porter was also very helpful - he recommended us the Old City, so we went there for dinner. HUGE selections of good restaurants, plus shops are open till late at night. The room was clean and not that noisy (despite facing the train station’s entrance), breakfast was good (continental) – WiFi it’s not working on upper floors though; there is a small lounge downstairs, with TV and (I think) bar. Overall – a nice surprise, will stay there again. PS: Advice (for foreign tourists especially): in Romania it is CUSTOMARY to tip – waiters, taxi drivers, etc. Prices aren’t that high, and a 10% tip wouldn’t make any one poorer. You will get a better service and good recommendations for places to go.

The price was very reasonable and the location was excellent for the train station, Metro, Taxi rank, Pharmacy and a corner shop. The hotel is looking tired in comparism to the pictures. The room was clean and the bed comfortable enough, but we needed to ask for enough towels, the lights did not work and there was not enough power sockets (unplugging the fridge to use the bed side light). At night there was some interesting characters outside including ladies of the night, but none of them bothered anyone. Breakfast was functional. The shower and air con worked well and the mini bar prices were very reasonable.

Very Dirty Hotel
This hotel was the most disappointing in all of Europe. Shower was broke and water never even got hot. Room smelled of ciggs and the bed cover wasn't even clean and the bed was shoved against a wall.

I had mixed feelings about this hotel. On the one hand, the location was great, the breakfast was great, and the room was quiet. On the other hand, the A/C didn't work, the carpet was filthy and it took five minutes to get lukewarm water out of the shower, and several of the staff just didn't want to be bothered with anything. I guess this place just needs a little more patience than normal, then you can enjoy it. The price can't be beat. If you are a tourist, be warned that the staff know very little about the local attractions. But if you want good value and don't have high expectations, this is a good place to stay.

Het hotel zelf is verouderd, wat op zich niet zo hard stoort. Wat mij zeer hard stoorde was dzt de badkamer vrij vuil was. Vingerafdrukken van de vorige die nog op de kraan stonden. De toiletrol niet in de houder gestoken. Maar het ergste was de douche. Die lekte langs alle kanten, waardoor de hele badkamervloer nat is nadat je gedoucht hebt. Aan de andere kant was het personeel wel super vriendelijk en hebben zo ons zeer goed behandeld. Ze zouden moeten investeren in wat reparaties en dan zou het een veel aangenamer hotel zijn!
