Day 1 NC500: Stayed at Bunchrew Campsite. A great place. Pitched our tent right next to the water and had lovely fresh fish and chips from Hel's Kitchen (Helen) which we ate whilst soaking up the beautiful view.

"A fab few days at the Beauty lodge and a warm welcome from Janice. The lodge had everything that you would need including a hot tub at the perfect temperature. Lovely views, sheep in the field and we even spotted a dear. Dark skies for looking at the stars in the Highlands. Would love to visit again and explore the Highlands further. Simply beautiful."

"Our family of 5 stayed at the cottage for two nights and we so wished we could have stayed longer! It is a beautiful log cottage, eclectically furnished and decorated. The kitchen is very well equipped. We used both the hot tub and the sauna after a long day’s hike and loved the view toward Loch Ness. Highly recommend. "

"The best thing about our stay was the peace and quiet. The location is gorgeous - peaceful and picturesque. We were surrounded by highland cows and deer and there is even a little private lake on site that we took a rowing boat out on one day. There is a stream running through the park, a playground and a little bar/restaurant. The owners were really friendly and gave us great suggestions for walks in the area. "It’s a great location, close to rail station and city center where you’ll find lots of shopping and dining options. The river is a block away with more options across the bridge. As many hotels are doing these days, you have to request room cleaning and/or new towels. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. Room was comfortable…a decent size with some storage. Staff were friendly and available. Breakfast is available for a price. Overall we’d stay here again"

"The check-in process was great, there was a person at reception when we arrived. The room was clean and working apart from the window was broken and took a bit of effort to shut properly. The largest downside was a loud humming noise resonating through the room throughout the day, as if coming from an industrial laundry facility somewhere underground. Thankfully it got quieter between 23:00 and 7:00 so we could fall asleep. The shared showers were clean apart from a bit of mold in the linings."
