Weekend Getaway
Beautiful house and great location, just as described, perfect for three couples, with very comfortable beds! Chance was very responsive to all questions and everything from booking to arriving went smoothly!! Fishing was tough as we had a pretty good cold front come through on the day of our arrival but we did manage to catch a few fish straight out from the cabin in 10 to 13 feet of water. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay and would highly recommend it! I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the summer!!

Worth the drive!
It took us about 6 hours to drive to this fabulous house. We arrived a little early and Chance was readily available to answer my call and let us check in. The photos definitely do not lie. The house was not only gorgeous, but had decorations that gave it that 'home away from home' feel. The decorations not only matched the location, but also the season. The peace and quiet was incredible compared to where we live. It was very easy to unwind and enjoy the scenery. We are already planning our next stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it was just as good as the first! Great communication with Chance led to a super easy check-in process. The house was clean and ready for us upon arrival. A binder on the counter explains very clearly all of the expectations of your stay when you arrive. Wonderful visit!
We loved our long weekend at Lutefisk Lodge. The cabin was clean and well stocked! Our kids loved the dock, lakefront and water toys! The big kids.. men.. loved the fishing. It was a great stay, we’ll be back!

The Perfect Layout
We had the pleasure of staying for four nights at the Lutefisk Lodge and will definitely be back. The sun sets alone or something out of a movie set. It was almost to the point where it looked like it set into the lake. Tons of space and a smart layout so everyone can have their own corner if they need privacy. Great deck to sit on if you aren't by the dock fishing, which produces all sorts of species with a few simple patterns. Plenty of space to move trailers around and had all the accoutrement you'd ever need to fish hard and process fish. I wish we could have enjoyed more time at the lodge but we spent 8 to 10 hours of our day on the water exploring beautiful Big Stone Lake. So impressed...and so will you

Felt like home for a few days!
Our family of 6 had an amazing time at this cabin! We caught panfish off the dock, invited extended family for a pot luck, enjoyed playing cards and the fire pit. We were there for the hottest Labor Day wknd of my memory but we made it work! Our oldest son proposed to his girlfriend at the end of the dock while fishing. She’s going to become a Fischer!

Big Stone Lake Stay
The house was nice and matched the pictures. Chance was nice to work with and the check-in/out process was easy. Had some nice amenities as stated. The lake was a green, but we still went boating on it, so it wasn’t terrible. Obviously the lake conditions are out of owners control, just wanted to point it out. Overall a good stay.

Lovely Home
This house is great! Cozy and tastefully decorated for that immediate "at home" feel. Kitchen was very well equipped-- pretty much any type of pan, pot or utensil for whatever it is you're cooking, even a convenient fish cleaning table for cleaning the catch. The only thing we couldn't find was matches/lighter for starting our campfire. The lakefront firepit on the sand is perfect for evening s'mores and sunset views. It was so nice to have the beach/patio chairs provided and the sand toys and kayaks were so appreciated by our kids.

Fantastic Stay Over July 4 Holiday
Our family of 6 adults stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful lake home and enjoyed every minute! The home is new and very comfortable, the water was warm and clear. The fam had a lot of fun on the water and ended the evenings with a lakefront fire on the sand. We are already planning to make this an annual trip!

Slice of paradise!
The cabin property is very will laid out. The 3 floors and three living spaces provides privacy. It is very well maintained and on one off the best sections of the lake. We really enjoyed are time there any hope we will have the opportunity again!

This was a great property to stay at and is fairly new. The host quick to respond to questions.
My family included grandchildren and they had fun sledding down the embankment to lake in February. We went ice fishing so it was perfect to have easy access to lake. Host was great to work with and property was very clean. We loved it!

Excellent cabin for ice fishing weekend
Super easy check in process and great communication from the owner. The property is IMMACULATE and so comfortable. Beds, showers, kitchen are perfect. Owner even had his pellet grill ready for our use in the winter! We would 100% recommend this property for any time of year!

The whole family love the house. It had everything you needed for a weekend stay. The two little kids love that there was a little toy bin and some games. It was beautiful and clean. The beds are super comfy. We all commented on how comfy the beds are. Overall it was a great stay! You will love it!

Great Lake getaway
The house was beautiful, we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The yard was nice and big for the kids to run around. The sand/ beach area was wonderful, our kids played in the sand alot. The dock and kayaks we wonderful. We had a great weekend stay and we would definitely stay again.

Peaceful Getaway
Wonderful, quiet location for a relaxing getaway. The lodge is beautiful and spacious with 2 great outdoor seating options available. Our toddler LOVED the sand beach and spent a lot of his time there when he wasn’t in the water. Only issue we had was the pond moss that was getting stirred up. But, Chance was there early in the morning to clear it up as best he could, and honestly it didn’t bother us while swimming-it turned into a game for our toddler! Overall, wonderful place to stay for all ages!

Loving Lutefisk Lodge
I stayed at Lutefisk Lodge as a mini family reunion with siblings and kiddos. We enjoyed the house and had plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed our stay, unfortunately the lake had an algae bloom so we couldn’t swim (sometimes nature just doesn’t cooperate). We did end up renting a boat so we did get some lake time. Owners were great to work with.

We did rent this place for the 4th of July weekend, it was AMAZING!!!! The property is very clean and quiet. The communication with the host was fast every time we sent a message. We brought our boat and left it in water during the day, public ramp really close to the house. The grill and appliances are new and the extra freezer was very important to fit all our food. Comfortable beds and sofas. I Really recommend it!!!

Family Fishing Trip 2022
This property was equipped with what we needed. I would say the kitchen area had all the dishware we needed which has been an issue at other vrbo’s I have stayed at. This was way above average in that area. The beds and recliners are new and clean. The AC works great. It has great windows to the lake. The fishing was excellent. The area to clean the fish out back worked out very well. We used the pit boss too which was great to have. We had a great trip!

Our family of 4 along with another family of 4 stayed here for our fishing trip. It was a great house for the 8 of us. The kids enjoyed having a loft area to sleep, toys and a dock to fish off. It was close to a public access to put our boat in too. It had a great amenities included (pit boss smoker).

Great Getaway!
Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the lake! Loved the use of kayaks and paddleboard, kids had a blast. We fished off the dock but the fish liked jumping rather than biting! Maybe next time we will catch a few. We had a great time with family. Thank you!

Perfect spot for a weekend get together.
The check-in process was very easy and straight forward. Everything was just like the listing. Great kitchen and living areas. Having the pellet smoker was a great plus, we cooked on it every night. The beach was great and the dock really came in handy. Large trees provide some shade during the day. Beds were very comfortable. Tankless water heater was a huge plus with the number of people we brought, we never ran out of hot water. I would definitely recommend this place for any sort of get together!

Family Get Away On the Lake
We were so very, very impressed with this trip. I would say that the description and pictures were spot-on to what the property looks like. The grass has grown in and we were able to play a lot on the grass in the backyard when were not in the lake. We felt like we had this entire, gigantic lake all to ourselves. It was so peaceful and quiet. And this lake is HUGE; 21 miles long. We saw all sorts of birds, caught 20 fish from the dock (tip: mornings and evenings:)), frogs, turtles, and even a skink. We spent just about all day swimming from the dock and shore and were outside in the backyard from morning until late at night (mosquitos come out just about as soon as the sun sets). There is a bit of seaweed but it did not bother us or interrupt our lake activities at all. I would recommend water shoes or sandals when wading in as there are rocks on the shore. The kayaks and SUP were awesome and allowed us to cruise around and see the beautiful shoreline and play out on the water. One thing to note is that you really are in the middle of nowhere; and I mean that in as good a way as possible....soooooo nice. Town had a great supermarket and Arnie's was great for any type of fishing gear, bait or advice that you might need. You can check out the museum too but that is like a 10-15 minute affair; although interesting. But we did not otherwise leave the house and were fine with it - we did get perfect weather. We also almost pulled the trigger on a boat rental in town but decided against the hassle; it would have been fun and affordable however. The inside of the house is great! We have 5 kids all under the age of 10 and they fit perfectly. The loft was great and the two bedrooms in the basement stayed dark so we could get some morning adult time. We were tempted to use the pull-out as well but did not need it. We LOVED the kitchen as it was perfectly stocked with all of the utensils you could possibly need, extremely well laid out, and very homey. In fact, everything was stocked extremely well. Having access to a brand new washer/dryer was also super helpful. Overall, the owners were easy to work with although we really did not need to engage with them at all as everything was easy and taken care of. We could not get enough of the lake and how cool it was - it really is huge. The house feels brand new and is in amazingly great shape - it felt like we were the first folks to stay here...it even smelled new! Highly recommend
