“Host was very responsive. Extremely easy check-in/check-out. Quiet, simple and right in the heart of the town. Walking distance to everything. The stairs are very narrow and steep but there are handles and small landings on each floor that make it easier to navigate. Parking is in the alley behind the building but it was a very short walk to the main door. It was clean and perfect for a short stay. ”

“This was the perfect spot for our mother daughter getaway. We enjoyed biking, hiking, the downtown shops, and local restaurants. The number five apartment was nicely stocked with snacks, water, all the kitchen utensils we needed, and very comfortable beds! We highly recommend and would stay here again”

“Great place. Loved the location. The space is large and inviting. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. The kitchen is well stocked and the bedrooms are comfortable. Easy walking to several restaurants and local shops. We came to fish for trout, stayed a week. Centrally located to good trout streams and a visit to the seed savers exchange is a must. Lots of good hiking trails as well. We plan to stay here again. ”

“We had an amazing, peaceful, and private stay—just what we wanted! The location was great and very close to everything decorah has to offer! The fall colors were beautiful and definitely showing off for us. We ended up using the air mattress to sleep on and that worked out really well for us as the back of the futon wasn’t very comfortable, but great for sitting! We were never able to find the trails that led down to the bottom of the Quarry, but that’s ok. We didn’t need to talk to the owners...

“Off street parking at house, can walk or drive to downtown area, no TV a plus as it gave us a chance to rest and re-group, spacious living/kitchen, bedroom and bath areas. Loved the decor and beautifully handcrafted furniture created by the owners. Owners readily available to answer questions and make sure the accommodations were to our liking, while being totally non-intrusive. We enjoyed every minute at the house and will stay again.”
