“Great location and very clean and comfortable home. There were five in our group and the house felt spacious. Super comfy beds! ”

“Beautiful mountain home in a great location! We spent a fabulous weekend with friends hiking, cooking and hanging by the fire as several storms came through. The colors were spectacular and the house was fully stocked. Dean was incredibly helpful and responsive. Will definitely be back!”

We walked out the door and hiked up a mountain, we drove 5 minutes and checked out Pinkerton Hot Spring, we drove N. 25 minutes and hiked Cascades waterfall! “The site was perfect located, close enough to town but far enough to enjoy the quietness of the mountains and all the beautiful scenery. Once we parked, we never got in our vehicles again until we left. There is plenty of room for vehicles. We brought one bumper pull trailer that parked at the beginning of the driveway. Our gooseneck got left at the bottom of the hill. None of that will detour us from coming back and staying again! Beautiful property and house! 100% worth it! ”

“The property in Lake Purgatory drive was perfect for our vacation in July. There was a beautiful view of the mountains and hummingbirds that we enjoyed while relaxing on the back deck. Temperatures were perfect as it is about ten degrees cooler than the city of Durango. All of the accommodations were wonderful. The owners original artwork was a unique touch that we enjoyed. We highly recommend the property!”

“Address was not correct on the email from VRBO. Cabin advertised was not the one we were put in. Floor was not vacuumed. River on property is amazing. Don’t expect much more than a camp house. This was all fine for 4 guys, glad the wives didn’t come lol! Property lacks upkeep. Still a great vacation in Lake city.”

“The Bunkhouse is a hidden gem that I can’t recommend enough. It’s scenic, serene, and the perfect place to stay in between Telluride and Ouray. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful with the fall foliage, and right off the Last Dollar Road, which has some of the best fall colors.
