"We are so grateful for the the absolute peace we experienced at Brooke and Frantz's cabin. It is decorated and designed for comfort, convenience and FUN! After driving for 9 hours we were exhausted and full of stress. Just one night at the cabin and we were all refreshed and ready to explore! My granddaughter (13) slept in the loft and thought it was "super comfy and really cool". The beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows! "The house is secluded and peaceful with a huge deck for a cool breeze with morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The house was spotless and well equipped with anything you could possibly need. Restaurants, grocery, and Katterskill Falls for hiking all within a 15-20 minute drive. Our host, Nick, was very attentive making sure everything was as we expected ( and it was). Would stay here again if the opportunity arises. I highly recommend this property for your vacation getaway."

"The house was very clean and well appointed. Internet was great, and the bed was so comfortable. We met Eric, our host, who gave us invaluable info about a hike/waterfall nearby. The baseboard heat worked well, and there were plenty of pillows and two warm comforters. The jugs of bottled water were appreciated. There was a big grassy area for the dogs to romp. We spent the day at Minnewaska Preserve, only about 12 minutes away."

"Check in was cumbersome, platform is difficult to navigate. Property was just right for my husband and I to enjoy a long weekend get away, though minor issues found when we arrived (had to wash dishes prior to use as they were visibly soiled; propane tank on grill was almost empty causing us to have to use oven - but the burners need adjusting, and there was smoke/soot produced and the smoke alarms went off even with all the windows and door opened; towels were damp, as if they had not finished...

"The heat was unbearable. The description did not indicate that there were no AC units at least in the bedrooms. We ended up leaving on Saturday afternoon because we could not spend a 2nd night not being able to sleep because of the high temperature."

"This is an oasis that is a detached home next door to the owners' property. The owners were welcoming, provided clear directions, yet respected privacy. The home is set back from the road so it is completely quiet and has a private yard for relaxing. Although it is in the quiet neighborhood of Bearsville, it is a short drive (10 minutes) to Woodstock and all it has to offer.
