“It was me, my son and my sister staying. The grounds were beautiful, and we fed the goats too! It was late season, so no pool or any relaxing outdoors. Brrr. Traffic is light in the area so it was easy to get in a 2+ mile walk and see the local neighborhoods. As it was mentioned in the listing (but not obvious in the photos), you have to walk through the bunk room to get to the master bedroom, and the door to the upstairs bath doesn't offer total privacy. “This is probably our favorite house to-date. Beautiful sunroom, master on main, and the best appointed house we've stayed in. Everything, from the coffee bar to the kitchen to the bathrooms, are well stocked with nicer things than we usually find in VRBO rentals (no mainstays china!) Very quiet and nestled in the woods for a relaxing stay.”

“My wife being a teacher needs a break by October. This vintage waterfront cottage renovated to exacting detail as she watches on her favorite ‘Reno-Shows’ was perfect. Located in a private neighborhood with dead end streets, it was quiet and peaceful. Sue the owner was quickly responsive when we had any questions. We are recommending the cottage to our family.”

“Staying here was a refreshing change from hotels. The house is in great shape, the full size refrigerator was welcome so that we could freeze our cooler packs, and it was nice waking up to a breakfast we could make from scratch with farm eggs and a delicious pumpkin cranberry loaf. Highly recommended, if you don't mind a bit of a drive away from town centers.”

“Nicely redone two BR cottage, lots of space in LR for pull out couch (my son found it was decent quality 👍). Wonderful to have a water view from both the front and back decks - short walk to the water (6 houses back?). Treats on arrival were a kind bonus. Even though it rained a few days, found things to do (wineries, Amish Market, Chesapeake City). No stores very close, so bring food - but also ate at the local Beach Bar — Fun group of neighbors around the bar (like Cheers!). Next door...

“Beautiful river views. Really clean and nicely maintained property. I liked the location which was close to Chesapeake City and reasonable to Elk Neck. We had five and it held us well. It is on the small side but with great outdoor spaces . Hot tub was a nice addition. The host was easy to get a hold of. Wouldn't hesitate to go again”

“This place is absolutely beautiful and in perfect condition. Very clean as well. There were 2 couples and we really enjoyed it. If you bring kids it is perfectly laid out and Ken has baby gates everywhere. Ken is an extremely nice guy and will do anything to make your stay perfect. Can't say enough about Ken or his home.
