“The only reason we didnt give 5 stars was because there was a strong smell that wasnt necessarily bad, but we were very sensitive to it and made it a bit uncomfortable. There was also an unexpected 9pm quiet hour limitation we werent expecting, but we were able to work around it. The bathroom was also very very small, and only one small mirror. But, everything else was awesome. Super clean, very comfortable bed, pillows, blankets and towels. There was plenty of extra soap and shampoo/conditioner...

This rental is not “charming”, it’s very very old & not well-cared of; the stairs to the property in the back (which is the way you are instructed to enter) are treacherous. “Overall, it was a great stay. Location was close to everything we needed. It was a nice apartment location. Having access to the garage was an added bonus. The host was quick and detailed in her responses and check in/out was easy. The only negative I might say is in regards to the bed and couch. The two state parks we went to were fairly close and nice. There are many stores, a mall, and plenty of restaurants within a ten minute drive. Des Moines is 20-30 minutes.”
