We had a fantastic time at this home! The private pool was a highlight — super clean with plenty of comfortable seating around it. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed for cooking and dining in. The location was perfect: close to the beach and in a walkable, friendly neighborhood. Communication with the owner was excellent — very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

House with a pool!

Great place with a pool and close to everything. Beach is close by and theres a food truck a block away. Two bedrooms on the bottom floor and one on the 3rd floor. Plenty of room for 6 adults and an infant. If we go back to Destin we will stay there again. Dottie is easy to work with!

Great location!

Super close to amenities! The private pool right outside the back door was so much nicer than a shared condo pool. Walk to beach in 5 minutes or less. The house isn’t huge, but with 3 levels there was enough room for our family of 5 to spread out.

Very nice house! Perfect location! Dottie was great to work with! House is stocked with alot of necessities! Outdoor space was amazing!! Beach cart was so nice to have! And walkable to so many things! Great stay! 5 stars from us!

Wonderful New Years at the Beach

We loved our stay in Destin to ring in the New Year! — Close to the beautiful beach, close to groceries, close to restaurants & even tennis courts & a frisbee golf course. The house was so accommodating — large table for meals & games & multiple spots to gather outside or soak up sunshine by the pool. Definitely a perfect location to enjoy some time together with family!

Spring Vacation

This beach house is the best you can get with a small group. It's conveniently located around anything you could want to do. My family and I enjoyed going to the beach within walking distance, walking to the ice cream parlor down the road, and driving to close activites near by. Dottie is a gracious host and the house has nice home amenities without being at home.

This rental truly felt like a home away from home, only with better !! If you’re looking for a dreamy beach retreat, this is it! Our stay at this beach rental was nothing short of magical! The best Fall getaway!!

Our family tries to make it every year to Destin and the Crystal Beach area is our favorite! The home was great!!! Perfect location, pool was amazing and really great deck and outdoor spaces too!!! This house has it all! The owners were great to work with on renting and very responsive! We have already decided this is where we will book next year!

Amazing location

Great location just a block from the beach and close to all types of shopping and activities. Dottie was super helpful with questions. The pool was so nice, especially on the days it was windy at the beach in April. We enjoyed eating our meals out on the deck. We loved our stay!

Family Vacation

We absolutely loved Crystal Beach and decided to return with our girls. What a great week of relaxing and enjoying the sun and beach. Loved the house, plenty of room for all of us, pool was perfect. Didn’t realize that there was construction across the street but we missed a lot of the noise by going to the beach. House was well stocked with all that was needed. Look forward to returning.

Home away from home

Our family had a wonderful stay! The owner, Dottie, was very helpful and responsive! The house is cozy and beautiful, she pays attention to detail, having everything you need! The pool and outside spaces were relaxing. Close to the beach and restaurants! We would stay here again without hesitation! Thank you for a great week!

Relaxing pool and patios

Our second stay at 79 Matthew was another ideal vacation, with superb location and great amenities. There were some cleaning misses (we did NOT notice that last time) which we were able to overlook with fun pool time, time on the beach and walks to get ice cream. We enjoy this area of Destin and have had two great vacations in this house.

Enjoyed our stay. Pool was great. Short walk to the beach. Public beach access didn't have much space - plan ahead and get there early. Dottie was great and quick to respond when we messaged her.

Comfortable home

Comfortable, clean, very cute home. Dottie was quick to respond to our needs, especially when we locked ourselves out 1 night. We enjoyed the pool daily. You can walk to beach but Hutchinson public beach has more room then Shirah & just a couple blocks more from Shirah. Home was fantastic & would rent again on our next visit to Destin!

Great location, but dirty house.

The location of the house, outside patio and the pool were great. However the carpet on the stairs had a musty smell and the house needs some major TLC. Also the sheets had hairs on them and there was mouse feces in one of the cabinets. Overall not a bad house but needs a deep cleaning.

Birthday Week!

My family and I visited Destin for my birthday. It was perfect! Dottie is quick to respond to all communication and very much wanted to make sure our stay was great! The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable. For us, Henderson State Park was our beach of choice with the umbrella/chair set up. There are plenty of beach toys at the house and we left new beach chairs so don’t go shopping before you check out the supplies! Dottie’s place is so close to everything you need to make your stay perfect!!! We will definitely be back!

loved the pool

this is in a neighborhood, beach access a block down was very limited, you had to get there early and set up, but people were nice. the condo had all this space and would not let you use anything even behind there chairs that were set up. House was nice but somewhat small for 7adults, one had to sleep on pull out couch, but the outside space was great and pool wonderful, spent a lot of time outside!

Loved the house, the pool, the location!! Only down side was the palm tree over the outside stairs. Wonderful Vacation!

First time to Destin but won’t be our last! This was such a great house to live in for a month - great location! Pool too cold to swim as it was Jan/Feb but loved sitting poolside and on the great upper deck soaking up the sun and sipping on a bevvie. Host made super dining recommendations. Great places to visit nearby, lots of shopping and antiquing and fun things to do. We shopped till we dropped at the outlet mall. Destin’s white sandy beach is one of the best we have ever seen and a very short walk from the rental house. The house was very well equipped with everything you need and host was very easy to contact and extremely responsive. Definitely would recommend this home to stay at if you want a wonderful vacation!
