Hi Or. I am sorry about the kitchen sink getting clogged. You notified us the day before you were checking out and we sent someone over that day but they could not get it unclogged. We offered to let you leave a day early and refund you but you choose to stay. The plumber told us the clog was due to food being thrown down the drain and VRBO said we could actually charge you for the repair but we decided to pay for the repair ourselves but not give a refund. There were two other functioning sinks in the house. We also let you check in a early at no charge and offered to let you checkout late at no charge.

It is true that the kayaks were locked up for the winter. None of the neighborhood docks including the community dock and watercraft are put into the water before Memorial Day because the pond is typically iced over well into April. We were on a plane when the guest contacted us, so we did not receive the messages until we landed. Despite the weather being unseasonably cold and wet that weekend, we offered to go up first thing the next morning to take the kayaks out. The guest replied that they were disappointed and would be seeking a refund from VRBO, so we assumed the matter was settled. For guests unfamiliar with the Northeast climate, we put kayaks out by Memorial Day and take them in by the end of October but we will be sure to update the listing so that this miscommunication does not happen again.

Thank you Ines for being such a good guest. We have since replaced the Master Bedroom Air Conditioner with a new unit and will look what options we have for the futon mattress.
