"Loved the hotel. Had a good view of the Mississippi. Loved the bar and restaurant. Was able to take drinks from bar to our room. I think you could order food and all to the room too, but didn't try that. Also was able to charge food and drinks to the room if you chose to. It was a one-stop hotel. Also had a patio with river view. Everything on the town seemed to be within decent walking range. Would have loved to stayed a little longer to check more stuff out - like the walking trail by the river. Looking forward to a return trip soon. The town seemed to be a quaint quiet town."

"Nice place with nice views. Comfy bed. Everything works. The trains going by and blasting their horns makes for an early morning. A bizarre thing we discovered when we got here is that all the restaurants in the area are cash only. No credit cards. Even many restaurants across the river in Prairie du Chein had a cash only notice posted on their doors."

"Did an upgrade to cowboy retreat and it was well worth it. The cabin was beautiful and roomy and comfortable. S’mores at the fire pit were so good. Ed was a great host. Showed us around and made us feel we never wanted to leave. Could have stayed there forever"
