Italy ladies reunion
The property was charming and spacious. It was decorated so nicely, lots of attention to detail but not fussy. Perfect house to just relax. The outdoor deck is huge and perfect spot for dinner and hanging out in the warmer months. The view was lovely. It was a great stay all around, wish we could have stayed longer.

Relaxing getaway
The property is quiet and clean with amazing sunset views of the water. The kids enjoyed kayaking and playing in the yard. There were deer to be watched and books to be read in the peaceful hideaway. The hosts were great and responded within minutes any time we had a question. Our party of 8 will be returning.

Great place to Relax
Was a great place to stay for my wife and I to meet up with family in the area. Well situated with a large outside deck where we enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit. Lots of bird calls and a view out to the water. Short walk to the dock.

This property was a great place for our family. Plenty of space for us and my grandson loved the bunkbeds. We would like to return when it’s warmer to enjoy the dock and outside area.

Thanksgiving with our Mid
This is our second Thanksgiving at the Cottage at Beechwood. This year we had all four of our kids join us for Thanksgiving with our Midshipman. There were 8 of us and we all were very comfortable with our sleeping arrangements and even with all having a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner in the large dining room. We ordered our dinner from Main and Market and enjoyed the beautiful setting. We took an amazing family photo by the dock, enjoyed the fire pit and enjoyed our multiple trips into Annapolis.

Weekend with family
We spent a long weekend with family and had the best time! The house is very nice, well stocked, clean and has a great deck and view! Check in was super easy and the owners were very responsive and helpful. The area is nice and just under a 30 minute drive to USNA. Would love to come back and highly recommend.

Peaceful Restful Getaway
We spent the weekend with our son, who goes to the Academy, which is just a short trip away but far enough where you are out of the hubbub of Annapolis. Lots to explore, excellent hiking areas and restaurants, and just a beautiful, peaceful setting. The hosts were helpful and friendly and helped to make our stay most pleasurable. We'll be back!

Great "Home Base" for family wedding weekend
The property was a great home base for our family who traveled from RI for a family wedding. The property was clean, well stocked, and the owners provided detailed information about the area as well as checkin/checkout procedures. The dock and large deck with firepit were among my favorite spaces!

We had an amazing time, the VRBO enhanced our trip with its relaxing atmosphere and had everything we needed to be comfortable and peaceful. Family nearby made this the ideal '2nd home' for our family and we'll be sure to use this home again!

Fantastic home. Clean , charming and comfortable. The cottage was well equipped and well stocked. The huge deck had an amazing water view with birds and wildlife galore. Nicely secluded but within minutes of everything you could need. Close to Annapolis and DC. Don’t not hesitate to book if you’re considering it. Enjoy

Beautiful, peaceful setting.
The updated cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The deck was large and provided an amazing view of the lake, especially at sunset. With 4 grandchildren ages 10-12, we did wish for more space for them to hang out, especially at night. During the day, the really enjoyed the kayaks and fishing. The steps inside the cottage were a little intimidating for us older adults. Overall though, we really enjoyed our time there.

Teens are begging to return next year
Great vacation! We lived in davidsonvill for 17 years and were able to find refuge in this cottage and reconnect with friends. The owner was extremely responsive felt like we had privacy although we knew they were right there if we needed something.

Tranquil Escape
I cannot say enough about how amazing this property is! Everything was perfect, from the kayaking to sitting by the water to the firepit on the deck. It was surreal to see deer and rabbits grazing in the yard each day. We will always remember our stay here as a pleasant dream, and we can't wait to come back!

Quiet and clean!
Beautiful property with ample wildlife, clean, quiet and relaxing. The house itself is set tucked away, yet close to town for your last minute grabs. 6 of us had plenty of room and space. Sitting by the dock at sunset was the perfect spot. Just moments from the beach. Communication with the owners was easy and their responses timely. We had an amazing time and hope to be able to return!

Perfect extended weekend
This property is AMAZING! Even better than the listing. Tom and Liz were attentive and answered all of our questions, and have everything you need at the house and on the grounds. Our kids are little (2 & 5) and there was ample space, things to do, and house is kid friendly. We got to watch the deer about 3-4 times a day, particularly around sunset. This is the perfect family vacation home. Thank you!

Rustic cottage with water view in the middle of nature. Well stocked with the necessities . In addition we had private dock and access to water toys. The hosts were great and answered all our questions. We had daily guests of deer, fox , beaver and rabbit. I would highly recommend.

Great cottage for a girls weekend!
We booked the cottage for a girls weekend, to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday! We had a great time, the house is so adorable and cozy. The deck is absolutely awesome to sit out on, the view is beautiful! Plenty of beds for everyone, large kitchen area, just a really nice place for a laid back trip!

Relaxing Family Getaway
The house is perfect for relaxing with the family. The deck is large and has space for all 11 of us to hang out and the yard was huge to let the kids play games. The short walk to the dock for the kayaks was peaceful and gave the kids hours of fun. We loved it and had kids from 4 up to 20 with us.

Great location! Beautiful house, built with love!
This is an excellent place to enjoy the bay, the porch, and everything around. The two kayaks are a plus! We are a family of four and enjoyed the spacious house; however, it accommodates much more people with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. We enjoyed the evenings on the porch around the fire pit and cooking on the large grill. Relatively close to Annapolis and not that far from DC (for people who are not from this area). Excellent place! We'll come back!

Cozy, magical cottage
We absolutely loved staying at the Beachwood Cottage and having a relaxing weekend as a group of moms and caregivers. The cottage is adorable and cozy, and just absolutely magical with character and an amazing outdoor deck space overlooking the water. Family Thanksgiving Vacation
This was our second stay at the cottage, the first being back in August. As expected, the cottage did not disappoint and was everything that we expected and hoped for! A host family member welcomed us on our arrival with a warm greeting and bottle of wine. The pictures online do not do it justice; so much more beautiful, comfy and cozy in person. The deck and firepit are perfect for morning coffee and breakfast, lunch, dinner, sunsets, and star gazing; and of course daily visits from deer, squirrels, a variety of birds, and a fox. We celebrated Thanksgiving with family (6 adults) from both coasts and the cottage provided everything we needed, inside and outside. Location is approximately 20-30 minutes from downtown Annapolis and there are plenty of closer restaurants, grocery stores, etc within 5-10 minutes. The ability to spend time in DTA while having a secluded, peaceful, lake front cottage to enjoy was absolutely perfect for our family! We're definitely looking forward to our next visit!

My two sons and I enjoyed our stay. Beautiful and peaceful home. The deck and firepit were a hit for us. It was so nice to have a pantry with common spices and other items. Very quick responses when I had any questions during our stay. We would come back again.

Quiet secluded cottage - beautiful views
This is an adorable cottage with a great location. It has water views from the large deck. Lots of seating on the deck, from dining area to lounge area. Fire pit was new and nice. The trees were changing and reflecting in the water while we were there. It was beautiful. The cottage feels very private. There is a line of trees behind the cottage. This a large property with the owners home on the property. It feels private due to the orientation of the house. I did not catch prior to booking that there are a lot of stairs… down to the cottage (uneven and not lit at night), the lower level bedroom is not actually on the main level, you will climb four steps of different heights to that bedroom. This is completely my error for not catching it, but figure someone else might miss this also. The other two bedrooms are upstairs. Most people would not be impacted, however we had our parents traveling with us. They struggled with the stairs during the night to go to the restroom. So, heads up. Would book this darling cottage again and again…. It is well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. Owner was very quick to respond to our question. Loved the long weekend stay. The Old Stein Inn had great food and atmosphere too!!

The cottage was the perfect space for our group to stay for a wedding. We enjoyed the large deck and views of the water. The fire pit was a crowd pleaser for late night drinks and catching up. The only downside was we didn't know about the water sulfur smell prior to coming so we were a bit shocked by that. The owners were lovely and made sure we were well taken care of.

Other than a couple dirty kitchen items and three days of rain (not the host's fault, obviously), this house was a cozy place for a girls' getaway. Saw deer and foxes. I'm sure we would have lived on the deck in nicer weather. It's lovely!

Perfect location for wedding family!! Fabulous deck.. relaxing.. great neighborhood.. and kayaks!! Wow!! There are several steep steps that might be challenging for older people. 7 in one room was perfect for our family!! Great bunk beds! We’re not used to the unique water taste, and we were glad we had bottled water.. but that’s just us. Couldn’t have asked for a better location, home.. super clean and comfy.. neighborhood and family we rented from!! This is a MUST STAY!!

Great Stay on the Water
We loved our time at the Beachwood Cottage. My husband and I visited with our 3 teenager daughters. We were in the area for college visits and the house was close to DC, Baltimore and Annapolis so it was a perfect home base for us for the week. The deck was amazing with the breeze and the views. The house has everything you may need. We enjoyed the dock and had a lot of fun kayaking! Highly recommend!

Beautiful property! The house is decorated so nicely and was incredibly clean. Tom is such a nice and wonderful host. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing on the dock and caught some nice size crabs for an evening feast! Highly recommend.

Lacrosse retreat
We had three west coast families staying here while our boys were attending several lacrosse tournaments. This property was an amazing retreat after a long day watching our boys play. The house was incredibly charming, spacious, and extremely comfortable for all three families. The outside deck was so big and a great place to hang out to take in the views. Liz and Tom were amazing hosts and responded to our needs very quickly. Our kids enjoyed kayaking, fishing off the dock, and crabbing. We enjoyed the beauty of the resident wildlife. Many deer hung out on the property...an amazing sight. Had the most amazing sunsets too. Wish we got to spend more time at this property!

Exceeded my high expectations!
From the moment we arrived, we sensed the hospitality that abounded in this beautiful place. We were very comfortable, with everything we needed. We enjoyed the dock for fishing late into the night, and for launching our stand-up paddle boards in the daytime. And for those of us who preferred to just relax, there were comfortable chairs under a shade tree down at the water’s edge, with a cool breeze, even during the hottest times of the day. The house itself was delightful, with lots of character, and room for everyone…and the massive deck with grill and fire pit served well for many relaxed family conversations. We would definitely like to stay here again, if the owners would have us. It was perfect!

Amazing place to stay. We’ll worth the cost.
Our family loved staying at the beach house. The place is clean, beautiful, and stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Tom is a very kind and generous host. Having our own personal water dock with a large shade tree made this a relaxing, stress free vacation. Fire flies lit up the trees next to the large green lawn, on multiple time we watched deer, bunnies, and a red fox run through the grounds. Great place to stay. Worth every penny!

Property was as advertised. Would say the view from the deck is a bit better than described. Lots of wildlife sightings including the last day finding a baby deer curled up and sleeping against the front door. Owner greeted me when we arrived. The cottage is charming and warm, w/ everything nicely appointed but still comfortable. The view of the water/sunset was lovely, and the deck was fantastic for grilling and talking. Plenty of everything you need, and comfortable beds--I slept great! One of the double beds did have an indentation on one side, so a guest slept on the other side of the mattress; other than that, everything was great, and I'd highly recommend!

Excellent weekend even with bad weather
Went to enjoy celebrating my 40th birthday. Enjoyed not leaving the house and feeling relaxed and peaceful in the space. Owners were super communicative and Peter came over and gave us some really great tips for the area. The kayaks were great to have available. Saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. Even got to see international space station fly over.

Fabulous bay retreat!
The Beachwood cottage was fabulous and a great place to have our family gather for a reunion and to attend a wedding in Annapolis. The house was very comfortable, very functional and very well supplied for the six of us. We loved the pier on the waterfront and did two days of kayaking using the 2 good kayaks provided with the cottage. Constantly, there were two roosting ospreys in the tree right next to the pier. Sitting at the waterfront relaxing, listening to and watching the ospreys was special.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beachwood Cottage. Liz and Tom were very prompt in responding to our inquiry prior to arrival. My dad has difficulty walking and they shared pictures with all steps on the property - which were very manageable for an old man. We loved spending time on the deck and have enjoyed the local restaurants they recommended. The cottage is fully equipped with anything you would need for cooking. We went kayaking and walking in the area. The views were beautiful. The beds were comfortable. It was all great! Highly recommend!!
