“Food was excellent, breakfast plentiful and tasty, evening meals were very good. Bathroom we were in was a little cramped and the floor tiles were cracked and broken. Overall the whole stay was very pleasant , the staff were very friendly without being overly so. Would definitely go back if we were in the area.”

“I ordered the Sunday Lunch which was very good and loads of it washed down with a very nice and reasonable bottle of Portugese Wine. The only strange part was going to the bar to order and pay for it up front and then asked if you wanted to leave a tip before you had been served anything and did not know if the service was going to be any good which was very strange - I feel sorry for the staff as I declined the tip upfront but then had no cash with me to make my usual 10% tip after I finished...

“We stayed for 12! Days it was so good. Beautiful property in the heart of North Yorkshire - amazing selection of breakfast. Clean rooms and family-run, friendly service. Sometimes we had to ask repeatedly for clean towels - and we don’t change them everyday. Beds were old and could use updating for comfort. Otherwise - would highly recommend! ”

“When reading the reviews, i was debating on staying here but thought lets give it a go anyways.. im so glad i did choose to stay here!!!! This place is great, not the best aesthetically but a great place to stay.. the one staff member there (name is calvin btw) is an absolute legend, very welcoming, always doing his best to help out in anyway and a generally all round nice guy.. was an absolute pleasure to stay here.. will definitely be back very soon!! Accommodation is definitely worth the...
