"In many ways the house was brilliant. The kitchen is very well equipped and the outside terrace was perfect for eating outside from morning to night. Isabelle was great at communication and even kindly lent us her bicycle. The village is sleepy but has a great bakery and a butchers' shop and walks in the nearby forest were relaxing. We did have a problem with one of the bedrooms that smelt strongly of smoke- despite there being a no-smoking policy for the house. (hence the 4 stars) This did cause some issues for one of our party who had to sleep there. Isabelle explained that some previous guests had smoked in the room and we appreciate that it is difficult to eradicate this smell but it did mean one member of our group did not have such a great time. All in all the house is great- the grounds big enough to play in and everywhere feels very relaxed."
