9 of us stayed at Chessetts.- myself, my adult children with their spouses, and my 4 grandkids, ages13, 9, 8, and 5. Nobody wanted to leave!
This place is remote but that is part of its glory. We took day trips to Garden of the gods, The Royal Gorge and Breckenridge. These trips were great fun but the kids were more excited about playing outside, getting in the hot tub and playing games together at night. The most surprising part to me was the adults playing Uno until 1:45 am. Needless to say, we will long remember the family memories we built at Chessetts
The house was extraordinary. There was plenty of space to spread out,, excellent appliances, plenty of towels and linens, extra propane for the grill and places to get away and come together.
Chessetts is high up in the mountains and it took a day or so to adapt to the altitude but you forgot all about that when you looked at the spectacular view. We were hoping for snow and sledding but only had some flurries that put a dusting on the landscape that only made it even more beautiful.
I highly recommend Chessetts to anyone who wants to build some family memories in a spectacular setting.
